Default PRYOR'S PLACE

It was called PRYOR'S PLACE and aired in the 80s on Saturday Mornings, it wsn't exactly a cartoon show

it was similiar to PEE WEE'S PLAYHOUSE

with a mix of all sorts of stuff

I have 2 discs worth of episodes, pretty good show, and I would love to get more!

its a very good show and i remember it was somewhat controversial at the time it first aired in 1984 because alot of cbs affilate managers did not want to carry the show and they gave the same old lame excuses ie we dont think he is a good role moddel for kids and he has a history of drug use blah blah blah but it turned out that most of the crtics and parents liked the show its a shame that it never caught on i use to watch it almost every saturday and i was 13 at the time

Thumbs up where i lived

they only aired like 2 eps, then canned it b/c of pryors language and drug use
they were afraid kids would think he was cute and then sneak and listen to their parents old comedy LP'S

(THIS IS PROBABLY TRUE as I used to sneak into my dads REDD FOXX Lp's back in the 70s!)

PLUS after what happened with Pee Wee, i guess they were overly protective

BUT i think it was some of the best stuff pryor ever did
