Exclamation Password Plus is almost finished!

Yes you read the Subject line kee-rectly, Password enthusiasts; the end of Password Plus is nigh.

Currently the GSN spate of PP repeats is the next-to-last week of telecasts, Episodes 791-795 (aired on NBC March 11-12, 15-18, 1982), with Edie McClurg and Gene Rayburn. Next week is it! The 800th and final original installment of Password Plus on NBC from March 26, 1982 (with Audrey Landers and Tom Poston) is expected to air next Friday, January 27!

And keep your eyes peeled for the Password Plus January 8, 1979 series premiere with the one-and-only Allen Ludden (and inaugural PP guests Elizabeth Montgomery and Robert Foxworth) the following Monday, January 30! So keep those VCRs and TIVos on alert!

Thanks a lot! I'm looking forward to watch the final show of "Password Plus" from 1982. I hope Monday will be the first show with Allen Ludden (Betty White's husband) washost. This was Allen's final "Password" until his death in 1981 before Tom Kennedy took over as the second host of "Password Plus".

I want to mention that the final week also may have 6 episodes so this means if this is correct, the finale won't air until Tuesday 1/31/06 at 11 AM EST/PST. Info: http://www.matchgame.org/episodeguid...plus/pp82.html Today's episode was the 3rd of the final week of shows with Audrey Landers, Tom Poston. Friday will be the 4th

I saw the last "Password Plus" on GSN today that Tom Kennedy was mentioned about next time we meet celebrites. That was show #800 and it was the last show. He doesn't say goodbye to the audience and fans of the "Password Plus" team. The credits was cut off after the GSN promo while in the middle of the old prize plugs that were parting contestants had given away from the last 25 years while the GSN ID appeared. Show #800 was considered the last episode of "Password Plus". The first five episodes with Allen Ludden starts Monday with episode #1.

Actually, the last episode aired on Tuesday, Jan. 31, since there were six episodes each in the two final weeks of the production. Tom did say goodbye, but said that he was sure Password would be back again soon. He also paid tribute to Allen.

On Feb. 1, GSN aired the first episode, with Allen as host.
