I don't know how many of them have been released on DVD. But, there were
five different versions of this long-running series: SUPER FRIENDS (1973-1977), THE ALL-NEW SUPER FRIENDS (1977-1978), CHALLENGE OF THE SUPER FRIENDS (1978-1979), THE WORLD'S GREATEST SUPER FRIENDS (1979-1980) and SUPER FRIENDS: THE LEGENDARY SUPER POWERS HOUR (1984-1985). |

I always preferred the first series (1973-1977), with Wendy (Sherry Alberoni), Marvin (Frank Welker) and Wonder Dog (Welker). But that's just me. However, it was the only version that ran four seasons--and there were only 16 episodes! Must have been a LOT of repeats.
That version also featured Superman (Danny Dark), Wonder Woman (Shannon Farnon), Batman (Olan Soule), Robin (Casey Kasem), and Aquaman (Norman Alden). |
