Default Fonziebirds: Air Force Attack

Chapter 1- A Call From The Chick Colonel

At the US air force base, two women, one of them older than the other, walked towards hangar 1 where they spotted a plane which hadn't been used since her pilot left the force. As the brunette looked at it, she said to the redhead "There's an air show on Saturday and you miss that guy as much as I do, Colonel Carter."

"Now, Jennifer, you know how hard it is for Howard Tracy to change his mind about Warren's lifestlye since he joined International Rescue." Colonel Marion Carter said as she and Captain Jennifer McKenzie both looked up at the sky as they heard a plane fly overhead and guessed that Scott was in that plane which they both identified as Fonziebird 1.

"Maybe I can't ask you to call Potsie, Colonel," Sandi told Colonel Carter as she remembered what a great boyfriend Warren Scott Tracy a.k.a 'Potsie' was. "Maybe Kelly can since she's still one of my best friends."

"Good idea, Jennifer." said Colonel Carter running to her headquarters where her 24 year old daughter Kelly was.

"Mom," Kelly asked as she saw her mother arrive back so soon. "Are you feeling okay?"

"Yeah, Kelly," declared Colonel Carter before dialling the operator. "Hello, Operator, get me Howard Tracy's current phone number!"

On Tracy Island, Howard Tracy was at his desk while four of his five sons were watching Sick Sad World in 20 year old Potsie's bedroom, the second redheaded son, 17 year old Richie was clutching some paper from a typewriter.

"I'm downloading my award-winning story to an actual publisher." said Richie.

"You mean The Aquanaut Chronicles, don't you, Gordon?" asked 19 year old Ralph.

Richie nodded as the telephone began to ring. Howard answered it and then yelled "Potsie, it's for you."

"Send it up to my wallphone, Dad," Potsie said and as Howard did so, Potsie sat beside it and said "Hello?"

"Warren darling," said the voice of Potsie's air force commanding officer, Colonel Marion Carter. "Who is this?"

"Hi, Colonel Carter, I mean Mom." said Potsie as his brothers went to watch their own TVs in their own rooms.

"Look, Warren, Since there's an air show on Saturday," Colonel Carter said. "I'm going to need your help. I need your father to take you to the Air Force base on Friday at 7:45pm. I sent a letter to Tracy Enterprises."

Potsie smiled at the Colonel and said "Ah, sure."

"Let your brothers know you'll be with me," Colonel Carter said. "Tell them the truth about the air show. That'll just make your father happy. I'll see you on Saturday."

"Okay." Potsie said hanging up as Howard arrived in Potsie's room happily.

"Potsie," Howard said smiling at Potsie. "You can go to that air show. Marion said I can take you on Friday evening and pick you up on Sunday night, okay?"

Potsie nodded as he was getting ready to pack for a rescue free weekend.

Chapter 2- Welcome Back, Potsie

Colonel Carter and here two daughters, Kelly and 16 year old Louise sat in the colonel's headquarters as they saw Tracy 1 arrive at Air Force base and Potsie had came out, Potsie wore his favorite yellow sweater with the sleeves pushed up, blue jeans, a light blue shirt that was a superb fit and showed his well kept physique and black Graser boots. He had kissed his father goodbye and Howard told his second oldest son that he'd pick him up on Sunday night.

Kelly was a bit taller than her mother and had her mother's red hair and blue eyes while Louise was slightly shorter than both Kelly and their mother and had the same dark brown hair as Potsie and green eyes. Kelly wore a pink sweater, dark blue jeans and dark brown loafers while Louise wore a dark green sweater, a light orange blouse, a black skirt and black high heels with a red Alice band in her hair and she saw Potsie coming towards the headquarters as Tracy 1 took off. Colonel Cater heard Scott knocking at the door and Kelly decided to open it. He decided to gel his hair up to perfection and he smiled as he walked over to the Carter family.

Potsie knew he'd have to meet Jennifer and the rest of the gang except for his arch rival Tim Scam who Colonel Carter knew tried to seduce Jennifer during the 3 days when she and Potsie had split up but luckily for them both, they got back together and Tim was discharged from the Air Force. As soon as Jennifer, Roger Pearl and Courtney Nelson arrived at the quarters, they were happy to see Potsie.

"Potsie, great to see you again." Louise said as Potsie smiled at her.

"Wow, Potsie, you often told us that life was a disaster!" said Kelly as she looked at Potsie while beside her younger sister.

"Potsie, Jennifer said that you were planning to get married of you came back for good." said Roger as Potsie slapped him in the back of his brown head.

"Potsie, I think that sometimes Roger tends to annoy Jennifer with that crack." Courtney said as Potsie tired to ignore her large bosoms, her blonde hair in the same sort of Alice band as Louise's but her's was green.

"Potsie, oh my god, I thought I'd never see you again." Jennifer said as she gave Potsie a big hug, her dark hair near his cheek.

"Potsie darling, we're so glad to have you back for this weekend." Colonel Carter said as she sipped the coffee that her assistant Nora O'Hara made her.

"Oh my god, did I just heard what I think I heard?" Mel Astin asked as he arrived, his brown hair looking rather untidy.

"Yep, Potsie's back for the weekend but the colonel needs to know he's okay and stuff." Fred Anderson said as the gang left to go to the canteen and he studied his dark brown hair.

Potsie couldn't believe how much fun he was having, he had missed all of this by being at home with his family the whole time and was never able to date other girls except for Jennifer like he did when he was in the Air Force and he occasionally saw and heard from her.

Potsie was now dancing with Jennifer; he held her close and slow danced to Elvis Presley's 'Are You Lonseome Tonight?'. She was the perfect height for Potsie to rest his chin on her head as they swayed from side to side and back and forth to the music. Potsie looked into Jennifer's brown eyes and smiled, she smiled back as Mel and Courtney danced.

Chapter 3- Bad Guy At Base

As the team were preparing for tomorrow's air show, Leo Scam, along with the Candy Man's guards, Bruce and Lance, had decided that he may as well keep a sharp eye out for Potsie as he discovered that he was at Air Force base. Leo knew he had to help the Hood when he wanted to get rid of International Rescue once and for good. Besides, Potsie was Leo's arch rival at the Air Force Academy and this allowed him to be angry with Potsie at anytime as Colonel Carter and General Andrew Thomas both treated Potsie like one of their own children. Leo also knew that if Potsie escaped, the Candy Man would be very angry and he would be dead meat.

"This better be good." said Leo as he picked up his headset telephone.

"Leo," said the Candy Man on the other line. "Did you see him yet?"

"Well, so far so good, I think I'm gonna have an easy time catching Potsie alone as he's Colonel Carter's favorite pilot anyway. Anyway, everyone'll know when he's missing." Leo said.

"Good, make sure Howard knows, understood?" the Candy Man asked.

"What's da boss gonna be doing with him?" Bruce asked.

"Nothing much and don't worry about Howard, you leave him to me." the Candy Man said as he hung up.

"What the hell do you think you're playing at," came the voice of 24 year old Lieutenant General Wayne Thomas, the general's oldest son who had his father's dark hair and blue eyes like Potsie did and was wearing his Air Force uniform. "Mr Tracy'll know anyway and you're gonna be in trouble when my dad finds out."

"That's enough talk from your big mouth, Tough Guy." Lance's husky voice said as Wayne charged at him but Bruce hit Wayne with such force that he ended up on the floor unconscious.

"What," came the voice of General Alfred 'Al' Thomas from his headquarters. "What do you mean that Leo Scam kid's back, Stuart? What's going on?"

22 year old Stuart Thomas who was wearing blue jeans, a light green shirt, a denim jacket and black sneakers shrugged while his father glared at him and his 19 year old brother Marshall who was wearing a black roll neck sweater, blue jeans and black motorbike boots. Both of them had brown hair and hazel eyes which obvisouly came from their mother.

"Thing is, Dad, I don't even know how that guy came here either!" Stuart told his father.

"Wait, Dad," Marshall said. "Dad! No! I'm not sure on him after he slapped me in the face." but his words fell on deaf ears as the General left the room looking for Wayne.

"Don't worry, Marshall," Stuart told Marshall. "You really need to wait for Potsie to show up."

An hour later, Marshall and Stuart saw their father and older brother with Potsie and Wayne's pet bulldog Bowzer coming to the headquarters as the general's assistant Elisa brought food.

"Thank you, Elisa," said General Thomas before turning his attention to his own sons and Potsie. "Please, enjoy the meal, Potsie, boys."

Potsie doubted but his hunger proved to be stronger and he began to eat.

"Potsie," Wayne said. "I know that we're often mistaken for each other but I was thinking, you're one of International Rescue, maybe your dad can give some of us memberships too."

Stuart and Marshall glared at him.

"I'm not sure, Wayne," Potsie said. "You see, we'll have to disguss it with our dads."

"Dad, I think it'd be great." Stuart said as Marshall began chuckling and almost began to choke.

"Marshall Harold Thomas, don't laugh when you've got food in your mouth." said the General.

"Sorry, Dad." said Marshall as both Wayne and Stuart were due to throw up.

"it's alright, Baby." said General Thomas as he hugged his youngest son and Potsie began to leave.

Chapter 4- The Air Show

Potsie and Jennifer stepped onto the massive stage, hand in hand and, like the rest of the gang, could barely hold back their surprise. Jennifer remembered the last time she saw Potsie at an air show but judging by the last time they were there, Potsie had noticed that his father was in the audience but was trying to look for him. Jennifer knew that Howard was doing very well with the boys.

"Wow, Potsie, Colonel Carter said that your dad and brothers won't be there this time," Jennifer said calmly. "Are you feeling okay?"

Potsie put his left arm around Jennifer's shoulders as if he was nervous and said "I had no idea my family wasn't coming, Jennifer."

"Has International Rescue made you lose all of your charm, Potsie?" Mel asked mildly.

"Not when I think the day my dad pulled me out of here against my own will," Potsie stated cooly. He later held a photo of him and Jennifer and handed it to Mel. "Sometimes, I wish I'd never joined anyway."

"This picture was taken by Wayne before you left, Potsie. We're glad you were the best," Fred replied looking at the photo. "But I'll have you do the speech, I'm pretty nervous."

Potsie bit back a retort. He knew to expect a great reception but at this rate, the show had to go on.

"Are you ready, Potsie?" Marshall asked idly.

"Ready, Marshall," Potsie replied simply. "How bout you? The life of a General's kid exciting?"

Marshall shrugged as Stuart said "Our dad's pretty jealous of your dad but they're best friends anyway."

Potsie stood then went on to the stage until he was mere inches from General Thomas and Colonel Carter and announced "Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the 1961 Air Show."

"That didn't seem to be the speech I wrote for you, Fred man." Stuart quietly replied.

"Folks change, Stu," Wayne told Stuart. "What's the excitment with Potsie about? I noticed he doesn't seem to be a priority anymore."

Everything was going as Tim knew the Candy Man had planned. Once the plan played out, the Candy Man would finally be able to fulfill his purpose and gain his freedom by destroying International Rescue. Now all he could do was wait for a call from the Candy Man before preying on Potsie or another unsuspecting victim.

Chapter 5- The Call

Back on Tracy Island, Howard was still working when his satellite phone started trilling incessantly from its resting place on the table. He quickly snatched it up to answer it. "Howard Tracy here."

The familiar voice of his second oldest son grated against his ears. "Hey, Dad, even though you didn't show up, I forgive you."

Howard noticed that Ralph, Richie and Chachi were watching TV and grew quiet. He mouthed 'It's your brother Potsie' to them before he replied "I had work, Potsie and I'm sorry we didn't show up."

"So, what's going on back home?" asked Potsie.

"We're just fine." said Howard.

"Thank God because Jennifer told me that Tim Scam's been after me since I showed up." Potsie said as he looked rather worried.

Howard knew his sons were not scared of anything then he noticed Jennifer standing behind Potsie in the background.

"Potsie, that's a great video communicator and it looks like a watch." Jennifer said from behind Potsie.

"Be warned though, Potsie: If you get captured or killed by that boy, I'll make sure that there is no place on this Earth that he can hide from me and I'll personally hunt him down myself." Howard said and then, Potsie hung up.

"Hey, Jen, wondering where the day's gone?" asked Potsie chuckling.

Jennifer noticed that Potsie had finished calling his father making her look at him.

"How time flies, Potsie. I'm glad you're back but Wayne said Tim Scam arrived looking for you," said Jennifer hugging Potsie. "But you and your family'll stop him and end his bid for getting his own back at you after you got him kicked off the force."

"Sorry, Potsie," a familiar voice said from behind Potsie as he walked Jennifer back to hers and Courtney's quarters. "I can't leave you or Jennifer alone for a moment, now can I?"

A wave of pain tore through Potsie's mind knocking the breath out of him as Bruce and Lance grabbed him while Tim groped Jennifer.

"You creep," Jennifer yelled struggling against the man groping her. "Get your flithy hands off me."

"Everyone's got their limits, Jenny." Tim purred as he gripped her tighter.

Potsie was dragged into his old rival's sights. "Have they? Well, my limits are to kick your butt. You get off my girlfriend or I'll punch you so hard, the Candy Man'll feel it." he said.

"That's dumb." Tim retorted as he was about to kiss Jennifer.

Jennifer flinched away, slapped Tim across the face and said "Tim, if I wanted you near me, it'll never happen because Potsie always knows when to kick your butt." Then, Tim backed away from Jennifer as Potsie struggled out of Bruce and Lance's grips and held her hand.

"Tim knows who you and family are, Potsie," Jennifer said as she hugged onto Potsie and began to cry. "He wants you out of the way so he can have me to himself."

Potsie was getting more affectionate around Jennifer as he threw his arms around her sobbing form and said "I'm not gonna rest 'til that jerk Tim is back behind bars."

Jennifer blinked as Potsie growled at Tim. Her thoughts were coming rapid fire and Potsie was reading him like an open book. They had to stay calm. Potsie fumed as he watched Tim and those moronic guards turn and head down to Hangar 18 where Tim's old plane the Teredactyl was.

As he stormed off, Tim angrilly told Potsie "This isn't over, Warren, you haven't seen the last of me."

Chapter 6- The Encounter

Potsie put the Bluebird in "hover" mode. He soon saw Leo carrying two pieces of cloth, a syringe, a mind control device that resembled a bracelet and some rope into the General's headquarters followed by both Bruce and Lance. Wayne told Potsie to wait up for him as they both followed him.

"Well, General Thomas, what do you say now?" asked Leo to the dark haired yet overwight middle aged general who resmebled Howard's scientific advisor Al Delvecchio as Bowzer snarled and then barked viciously at him.

"I say get out!" snarled General Thomas as both Bruce and Lance apparently jumped him and Leo drugged him.

"Wow, Leo. That was really clever – the way you broke into General Thomas's headquarters." Potsie told his old rival sarcasticlly as he and Wayne arrived in the General's headquarters.

"Why, I was merely pointing out a fact, Potsie. Do you really think you and the general's oldest son can take me on?" Leo asked as Bruce had finished tying up the drugged general and tied Bowzer to General Thomas's right leg. He was later blindfolded and gagged by Lance as Leo placed a mind control bracelet on Potsie's right wrist as if he were mentally telling him "Warren Scott Tracy, I've got power over you now, a hypnotic link. You're pathetic and you've got no powers to stop me, you'll do Tim's bidding and help with my plans and remember nothing."

"Not so tough now, are you?" sneered Leo as he found Potsie was finally become as obedient as he wanted him to be. Potsie nodded as Wayne was glaring at Leo as he entered his father's headquarters to find his father bound, gagged and blindfolded and his bulldog tied to his right leg.

"I'll get you for this, Leonardo!" roared Wayne.

"Aaah, shaddap," hissed Leo as he ordered Potsie to punch Wayne. "Wayne, I haven't got time to get rid of you. Let me and Potsie try and find the nearest people near or in the Intercept tower we can find."

Damnit, Marshall hasn't forgiven Leo for slapping him in the face, thought Wayne as he felt a little groggy as Leo left with Potsie following behind and heard the door slam and being locked. That guy's such a jerk.

"Hey, Potsie, what are you doing there?" Marshall asked as he was on his way to the Intercept tower.

Potsie didn't say anything to Marshall but just stared as Bruce carried on with what he was he was doing and broke his left arm. Potsie watched in surprise as Bruce ran towards Marshall and dragged him inside. Lance grabbed Stuart who was wearing a headset as he twisted his right ankle until they were put onto a couple of chairs and tied to each other's backs. Leo looked directly at the two younger Thomas brothers, took Stuart's headset and smiled.

"What the hell are you doing, you jerk?" growled Marshall.

"Using Potsie to get the better of everyone who shunned me." Leo said as Marshall stuck his tongue out at him and he slapped Marshall across the face. Struggling against Bruce and his bonds, Marshall knew Leo liked the sound of his own voice even though it was not necessary to talk, he guessed Potsie was under mind control.

Stuggling against his bonds, Stuart was enraged, he clenched his fists as Marshall began to cry and growled "Why you..."

Potsie raised his right arm; he was holding a gun and aimed it at Stuart and Marshall's heads. The older brown haired young man stopped dead stunned by what he was seeing.

"Pots, it's me, Stuart," Stuart said as Leo set the gas of the tower off. "Listen to me, what's Leo doing to you?"

Potsie was transfixed; he looked right at and through the two of them.

"I've got to tell Potsie what to do and he'll do it without asking." Leo said pushing Potsie in front of him.

Potsie began to sway slightly, he blinked and his arm dropped a little as Bruce let go of Marshall and Lance let go of Stuart.

"I want to see you two die and out of my way forever," snarled Leo as he left Marshall and Stuart to die in the tower with Bruce, Lance and Potsie following and Marshall was still sobbing. "Bye, Boys."

Chapter 7- Potsie's Missing?

Back on Tracy Island, Howard was still filing more paperwork as the boys were watching the latest episode of American Bandstand on TV. Later, Arthur John a.k.a 'Fonzie''s portrait buzzed to life and Howard said "Go ahead, Fonzie."

"Dad, two guys, Stuart and Marshall Thomas are trapped in the Intercept tower at Air Force base," said Fonzie. "And Potsie's missin' but Colonel Carter thinks he was caught by Tim Scam and had his mind controlled."

If anything, hearing about Potsie being forced to help his arch rival was enough to make Fonzie feel very scared. He was used to being alone on Fonziebird 5. Howard heard the words Fonzie had said but it seemed to take a minute for them to make sense to him.

"Did their father, General Alfred 'Al' Thomas or their older brother Wayne, who's Lietenant General, say anything, Fonzie?" Howard asked. The boys knew that General Thomas was their father's best friend when it came to the Air Force.

"Wayne said that he heard Marshall sobbing that Tim drugged their dad." Fonzie's worried voice said breaking Howard from his own mental torture.

"Thank you, Fonzie," Howard said about to cry. "Tell Colonel Marion Carter we're on our way."

"F.O.N.Z, Dad." said Fonzie as he hung up.

As soon as Fonzie hung up, Howard and his sons ran to Fonziebirds 1 & 2 and flew to the US Air Force base where Potsie was supposed to be that time of day. Howard and Chachi brought Fonziebird 1 in down low because this time, it was his second oldest son the family were here to find.

"Ralph, Richard, we're here," Howard said. "It's not looking good. Landing now."

"F.O.N.Z," said Ralph. "I'm five minutes behind you." Two minutes later, Chachi rushed to the Intercept tower where they found Stuart, who was due to pass out, and Marshall, who had already passed out with tear stains on his face, tied to each others backs. Richie and Ralph came running over to his side, torches, ropes and emergency kits in their hands as well.

"Okay, let's get these guys untied and take them to the hospital shack where Kelly is." Richie said as Ralph held Stuart and Richie held Marshall as Chachi untied them.

"Well, it's about time you guys turned up." Stuart said before he passed out and the brothers rushed to where Kelly was.

Howard entered General Thomas's headquarters where he found his old friend blindfolded, bound and gagged but he was showing signs of waking up with Bowzer tied to his leg and Wayne was struggling against his resraints. Howard grabbed the penknife from his pocket and cut the general free before removing his blindfold and gag. Howard knew his best friend was feeling a bit dizzy too.

"Al, are you okay?" asked Howard as General Thomas looked at him.

"Yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, yep, Howard, sort of," General Thomas groaned putting his hand to his forehead. "I hope my boys are fine."

"I'm okay, Dad," said Wayne as Howard freed him from the handcuffs around his wrists and Bowzer licked his face as he jumped into his master's arms. "Lucky for us, International Rescue found Stuart and Marshall. Kelly'll tend to the poor kids."

The general lead his best friend out of the headquarters to Colonel Carter's own headquarters where she and Louise were talking aout how Potsie had been concentrating on what he was doing by the time he vanished while Wayne went back to his own headquarters with Bowzer in tow. It tore at Howard's heart to think of Potsie working for the enemy. General Thomas knocked on the door as Howard was about to start crying.

"Come in." the female colonel's voice said.

"Okay, Carter, Howard Tracy's here," said General Thomas as he ushered Howard inside and Louise went to find her older sister. "I'll leave you two alone before Howard starts crying."

"Howard darling, I swear we'll find our best to turn your Potsie back to normal." Colonel Carter said but Howard paled as he felt the tears in his eyes well up.

"What if I never see Potsie as his sweet old self again?" Howard asked thinking hard. Fonziebird 1 and the Bluebird would be flightless if Scott was working for Leo forever.

"You will, Howard," the colonel said as she saw that Howard was beginning to cry. "And just one more thing, I don't think Warren would want to see you cry."

Howard's sobbing began as he collaped on the couch and rememebred the days when Potsie became a pilot for the US Air Force and won an award for bravery. "Damn, Warren, why did this happen," Howard sobbed. "Why?"

"First thing, Howard, don't worry, second thing, don't cry," Colonel Carter said as she left to find Potsie. "I know you're International Rescue and I've never told anyone who you and the boys are."

A minute after Colonel Carter left her headquarters, Howard had decided that he had to stop crying and find out where Potsie was and left the colonel's headquarters. He gasped as two pairs of hands grabbed his arm and dragged him behind hangar 1. If the Candy Man were behind this, Howard would feel angry and disorientated and rather helpless. He was unable to struggle any harder as a young man stepped out from behind Hangar 1 and faced him. Howard recongnised that face, that hair and those eyes and he knew right away that it was Potsie.

"Potsie, what are you doing?" asked Howard.

Potsie didn't respond as a voice from behind him said "Knowing your Warren, Mr Tracy, he's too busy hurting you."

"Well, obviously I hope Warren doesn't get too violent," replied Howard. "I don't want to get killed by my second oldest son if that's what you want, Leo."

Leo gave a hearty chuckle when Howard was grabbed tighter and Potsie started to hit his head so hard, it struck against hangar 1 as Leo looked on.

"Well, Mr Tracy," smirked Leo. "Have you had enough?"

Howard now glared at Leo until he saw Potsie in front of him and by that time, Howard was feeling rather frightened.

"Potsie, listen to me, you're not like this," Howard said struggling against Bruce and Lance's grip. "You're not like this."

"Your dad's annoying me, Potsie," Leo said. "Make sure he gets it coming."

"Get out of here," Howard yelled at Leo. "I'll have you reported for this!" He was starting to bury himself in his anger and Leo, determined to stop Howard from thwarting his plan, smirked and ordered Potsie to violently attack Howard until he was unconscious.

Oh god, thought Howard slamming his head against the hangar wall. Why did Leo do this to Potsie?

"Sorry, Sir," laughed Leo as Howard passed out. "I guess your time's up!"

Potsie decided to put Leo out of his misery by letting Bruce pick Howard's limp form up and leading him to the colonel's washroom. Leo regarded the place. As he looked around, he saw Ralph, Richie and Chachi run towards him as they spotted him but he slipped into the washroom with Lance, Bruce, Potsie and an unconscious Howard.

Chapter 8- Captured By The Enemy

Howard regained consciousness in Colonel Carter's private washroom but he was sitting on the floor with his hands above him and behind his back. He raised his head and a sharp stabbing pain shot through the back of his neck. He remembered struggling against the Candy Man's guards Bruno and Lawerence or whatever their names were but he didn't know how long he had been unconscious. As his eyes peered around, he realised that he was not alone. He knew that his second oldest son's arch rival, Tim Scam was observing him.

"How did I get here?" asked Howard huskily.

"Potsie knocked you out, Mr Tracy," Tim said. "I brought you here."

Howard desperately wanted Potsie to tell Tim to leave him alone and pick on somebody his own size. Although Howard was pulling at his restraints and Potsie tugged at them harder to stop Howard from lunging foward, Tim laughed at the startled expression on Howard's face.

"Not so brave now, are you, Sir," Tim said. "The rest of the boys might have found me but I'll be waiting for them. "

Howard wanted Potsie to snap out of this trance he was in and tell Tim to get out of the colonel's washroom. Tim ordered Potsie to point his handgun at Howard's head and shoot at him but Howard managed to move out of the way before Potsie had fired until Bruce and Lance grabbed Howard, put him back on the floor and noticed that Potsie was out of ammo.

The Candy Man's gonna be really happy with me, thought Tim. And wait 'til he sees Mr Tracy dead.

"You'll never get away with this." Howard snarled as Bruce and Lance quickly pulled him to his feet.

"There's no-one to help you now, Mr Tracy," Tim said. "You're trapped and the boys won't find you here."

"Go to hell." hissed Howard.

Potsie roughly grabbed Howard by the lapels of his jacket and slapped him across the face as hard as he could and as soon as he was done, Howard was put back down on his butt and began to cry again but this time, he pulled his knees up to his chest.

"Potsie," he sobbed. "Potsie."

Looking at Howard sobbing so loudly, he could barely say anything, Potsie snapped out of his trance, took the bracelet off his right wrist and said "What the hell have I done?"

Tim glared at the two Tracy men, he was shocked by this now his hold over Potsie was gone as the bracelet finally came off his wrist, Howard's concern for Potsie had snapped him out of that trance he was in. As soon as he saw his father handcuffed to the towel rail, Potsie shooed Bruce and Lance away and removed the handcuffs from Howard's wrists and dried the tears from his eyes until Tim caught him and said "Since you didn't kill daddy like I said, I'm gonna kill you, Daddy's boy."

This slightly distracted Potsie, Tim seized the opportunity and grabbed the gun from Potsie's hand and handed it to Bruce who held it just out of his reach. Lance pounced at Potsie and gripping his neck tightly then began to twist it. Potsie was strong enough to resist these two goons and he and Lance wrestled briefly before Bruce got between them. He pushed Potsie to the floor beside Howard and both of them left the washroom.

"You can go to hell, Bubble Butt," growled Potsie through gritted teeth and then put one arm around Howard as he began to calm down. "I know you're the jerk that made my dad cry."

"Potsie," Howard whispered standing up and hugging his second oldest son. "I'm so glad you're back to normal."

"Thank god I'm back to normal, Dad," Potsie said smiling at his father and hugging him. "I was a real jerk."

"That's it," Tim said as Richie and Ralph pulled him outside and pushed him into the girls bathroom as Potsie came out of the colonel's washroom with Howard and Bruce and Lance stormed out. "You're a dead man, Scott."

Chachi, who stood beside the girls bathroom, went inside and hid when Jennifer left the girls bathroom and found Ralph and Richie who were standing outside.

"Rich, Ralph," Jennifer cried out. "Great to see you again, what happened?"

"Jen, we're so glad to see you too." Ralph told her.

"We'll tell you everything that happened in a minute, Jennifer." Richie added.

A few seconds later, a boyish sounding cry for help came from inside the girls washroom. As Chachi struggled against Tim's grasp, he notice that Richie stuck his tongue out at Tim and vice versa as he handed the dark haired young man to Bruce and Lance.

Chapter 9- The Chase Is On

As he entered hangar 18 where the Teredactyl was, Tim looked over at Chachi who was struggling against Bruce and Lance completely at his mercy.

"I think you oughta stop, Chachi." he said as Chachi stopped his struggling and was carelessly thrown into the Teredactyl. Tim saw the confusion then the fear as it dawned on Chachi.

"If it's about the Candy Man, forget it," Chachi snarled. "I don't wanna see him 'til he's in jail."

As if reading his mind, Tim answered "Silly Chachi, the Candy Man'll be really happy to see you dead or alive."

Tim laughed as he said this, he was trying to get Chachi to react but it seemed as if he was not listening. This fact was starting to annoy him. Tim put his left hand under Chachi's chin and lifted his head so that he could look at his face.

Later, Potsie had finally gotten Howard to calm down a bit as they left the colonel's washroom when Jennifer ran up to him and slapped him across the face. Ralph, Richie and the others were stunned to silence. Potsie started to ask "Jenny! What the--"

"That's for going after Tim without telling me, Warren," she said and later, she then put a hand on either side of his face, said "And this is for getting him off our backs." and planted a kiss on his mouth. A kiss which he returned and which they held for thirty seconds. Howard and the others stood in happiness at what they saw. Colonel Carter and Louise could tell that Jennifer did indeed love Potsie by the way she was looking at him in almost sympathy. There was also the detail that Wayne told Colonel Carter and Howard about Tim taking Chachi in the Teredactyl which had just left Air Force base.

"Why's Tim doing this?" Richie asked.

"He's a mean old jerk and it was Potsie that got him thrown out the Air Force Academy and kicked off the force." Lennie replied from behind Wayne.

"Luckily, Wayne told me and Marion or Colonel Carter if you boys will what that idiot Tim did to Potsie." added General Thomas.

"Bad thing I designed that thing on the side of his plane." Louise said.

"Louise, it's not your fault," said Colonel Carter. "I'm colonel here and I know you're an artist like Ralph."

"Your mom's right, Louise," Ralph said. "But you did all those designs on the planes."

"Okay, everyone, Chachi's out there," Howard said. "Let's go get Tim."

Colonel Carter noticed Howard's injuries and took him the hospital shack where Kelly was at the moment tending to Stuart, who had just regained consciousness, and Marshall. Howard told Potsie to take Fonziebird 1 after the Teredactyl and Ralph and Richie to follow suit in Fonziebird 2.

"What—what's going on? What are you gonna to me?" Chachi frantically asked as Tim finally arrived at the Candy Man's hideout where Bruce and Lance dragged Chachi in.

"Now, Charles," the Candy Man said. "There's no way you can leave! What are you going to do?"

"I'm getting outta here, you lazy eyed psycho!" snapped Chachi as Colonel Carter in the Bluebird, Jennifer in the Flamingo and Fonziebirds 1 & 2 showed up.

"There he is, people," Colonel Carter's voice said from the Bluebird. "Attack."

Later, the gang kicked the bad guys butts and saved Chachi before taking him back to Air Force base where Howard, who was feeling a little bit better, congratulated the boys on a job well done.

"Good job, Boys," Howard said. "But I still have to punish you when we get home and Al, Stuart and Marshall are gonna be fine and Marshall woke up when I showed up but they'll have to stay in the hospital shack for 3 days."

"Howard's right, boys, you too, Potsie," General Thomas added. "He's your father, it's his job."

Chapter 10- We All Shine On

When Howard and the boys got back to Tracy Island, Howard remembered everything General Thomas and Colonel Carter told the boys as they sat on the couch in the lounge. There was a slight tugging on Potsie's hand and the boys turned to see Howard beside their oldest brother as Howard ushered Ralph, Richie and Chachi to their rooms.

"Potsie," Howard said hugging his oldest son. "I thought that after you saw me crying in Al's washroom, you'd turn back to normal."

"I know, Dad," Potsie told his father. "Who knows what that guy was thinking. Maybe he just wanted to play a game with us."

Howard remained silent for a few moments and said "You were born with more strngth than me, remember? I think Leo wanted to make you into the Hulk. At the rate you're going, you'll probably be able to smash tanks. Learning how to control all that power isn't going to be easy and there's something I have to ask you, too."

"Yeah?" Potsie asked.

"Can you try to tell Al and Marion everything that happened next time you see them?" Howard asked.

"Sure, Dad but I better get going to my room now." Potsie said as he hugged Howard and went to his own bedroom. As he walked to his bedroom, Potsie heard an Elvis Presley song from Richie's bedroom.

"Hey, isn't that I Got Stung?" asked Potsie indicating the song playing.

"Yeah. It's one of my favorites." Chachi said as he sat on Richie's bed.

"Wow, Elvis's voice is a bit cool when he's singing and dancing on stage and in any of his own movies." said Richie.

"Yeah, I pretty much agree with you there, Rich." said Ralph as Potsie left Richie's bedroom and went into his own bedroom.

THE END
