Default When did anyone find out about this show

I know that I found out about it when it was in "DEEP"
Syndication, that means if you lived in Chicago and didn't have cable you had to go to channel 66 to watch something good at night.

and then I was in Jr high school

I remember seeing ted lange (from the Love Boat)
and Sweet Daddy aka Theodore Wilson ( who was in many shows back then)

and theresa Merritt (from The Wiz who played Aunt Em)

and I said hmmmm?

this might be good
and it was
first time I saw it
I was laughing so hard
I had tears in my eyes

its a good show
can't wait for the release

So tell me
when did any on this board find out about this show

You know what?

I think I was surfing imdb, looking at some actor's resume when I saw the title of this show. My reaction was, "HOLY ISH! THERE REALLY WAS A SHOW CALLED 'THAT'S MY MAMA'!?!"
I assumed the reference was made up by the reverend character from 'Coming to America' when he said that Mr. Randy Watson appeared in the " 'What's Going Down Episode' of 'That's My Mama.' "

So, that's how I found out.

I saw it originally in 1974 and 1975 and then I watched it again in the mid 80's when it was syndicated on one of my local channels.

That's My Mama actually had a different title before it was added to the fall schedule in 1974. I will post it later.

I first heard about this show in either 1990 or 1991. I was at my grandma's house and she had this magazine with an article about Clifton Davis who up untill then I only knew from Amen. The article focused on Clifton turning his life around after battling a serious drug problem.

I'm just so diappointed at how bad the show turned out to be after searching for it for 4 years. The only highlight of the show was Junior saying-"WOOOWEEEEEEEE" I got it
