Has anybody remembered the "Dragnet" spoof called "Christmas Dragnet"? That was so funny. They played it on CBS-FM and on Stan Freberg's "When Radio Was" every Christmas. I have song on CD.

I have it too! Do you have the Dr. Demento Christmas CD or is it on other CDs too?

actor Daws Butler. The CD "THE VERY BEST OF STAN FREBERG" (1998) contains all three Dragnet spoofs: "St. George and the Dragonet," "Little Blue Riding Hood," and "Christmas Dragnet." Funny, funny stuff. Stan said, in his auto- biography "IT ONLY HURTS WHEN I LAUGH," that even Jack Webb loved the first one ("St. George ..."). I highly recommend both the CD and the book. |
