6 episode DVD coming in September! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Under "Warners Classics". Unfortunately, the DVD, set to retail for 9.99, will include only 6 episodes, 3 B&W and 3 Color. The 3 color episodes are very well chosen, arguably 3 of the 4 best color episodes: "The Singing Mountie", "Bye Bye Balloon", and my choice for the best of season two, "Our Brave in F Troop".

Unfortunately, the 3 B&W episodes aren't so well chosen: "The Return of Bald Eagle", "Indian Fever", and "The Girl from Philadelphia". Far from the best of the first and best season, they should have chosen "The 86 Proof Spring", "The Day the Indians Won", and "Johnny Eagle Eye" for starters.

Still waiting for the complete first season DVD, but if this sampler does well in stores, perhaps Warner will pay attention and give us the complete first season!

I have already pre-ordered my copy.

Hopefully this DVD will be the start, with the whole series to follow at some stage in the near future.

Unfortunately, the show hasn't been shown on TV here in Sydney for years, not even on the several classic Pay TV channels.
