Default Queer As Folk finale - next Sunday on Showtime

anybody going to miss it? I used to love it the first two seasons but the show progressively began to get worse and worse.

I still have the last two episodes on my DVR box to watch. I lost interest once I saw Hunter was coming back. I thought since they were going to blow up Babylon they could have at least shown it like they did on Melrose Place when Kimberly blew up the building or when Buffy and Giles blew up the high school to get rid of the Mayor. There wasn't any excitement to that episode. This season didn't turn out like I thought it would. I don't think I am going to miss it.

lol, wouldn't it have been something if it turned out to be someone from Brian's past who had an axe to grind with him that blew up Babylon to get even with him?

The prob with QAF is that they decided to go the "sensational soap" route instead of following through with the original plan to "have a realistic depiction of being gay in America". Brian Kinney became a real joke (how funny, with the thousands of men he's slept with, he's had maybe one who happened to be other than white and you've never seen him with a big bear/cub type, realistic!!) and lets not forget they way they turned "regular guy who happens to be gay" Teddy into a porn king.

I also have a feeling we're never going to see Randy Harrison on anything again. Of all people, him having a "I'm too good to still be on TV" is a freaking joke (he's the reason it's ending and not going on another year). You're hardly Jennifer Aniston dude.

in the shortest answer possible. It's about the lives of four gay 30-somethings in Pittsburgh (Brian, Michael, Ted, Emmett), their partners (Justin, who is twelve years younger than Brian, and Ben, who is HIV+), their family members (Debbie, Michael's mother) and their lesbian friends Melanie and Lindsey, who are raising children surrogately fathered by Brian and Michael. Basically about their day-to-day struggles and going to the clubs, etc... It started out wonderfully, it was so shocking to see a show so frank and gay on television when it started, but it seemed like all of the best writing and ideas were used up in the first season, and each progressive season got a little worse. The season 1 finale is a real heartbreaker with Justin getting gaybashed at prom, moreso than anything else they have done with the show, because the show was so good back then and it eventually developed into farce.
