Warning! This is an post!

Courtney, I just read your LiveJournal. You don't care for My Fair Lady! I LOVE that movie! But I just had to comment on an observation of yours. You are so right about Rex Harrison--he doesn't sing--he speaks with rhythm, LOL. I thought I was the only one who ever noticed that, LOL. I would love to try out for a musical (there is a small theatre group near my house), and Eliza Doolittle and Maria from The Sound of Music would be my dream roles. There are only 2 problems: I *can't* sing (no joke) and now I'm too old for those parts. Sigh.

OK, back on topic: I'm glad you guys are going to post your fic here--I can't wait, LOL.

**hangs head in shame** I'm sorry. LOL. My dream role? Eulalie Mackechnie Shinn from "The Music Man." **grins**

ANYway, to prevent Off Topicness in the future, you can comment in my LJ at the bottom where it says "post a comment." It sends me an e-mail. It's fun. And it makes me feel loved! Whee!

Aww, try out anyway! There are plenty of great roles in musicals that don't necessarily have to sing (Eulalie for example)... Go for it. Hey, the Chorus is the most important part of a musical anyway. I'd know, I've been in it enough. LOL.

Um, yeah, for the sake of being slightly on-topic: Mini-Scandal is coming along and it's my turn. Skippy gets to be funny and Gilly makes the most profound comments when "intoxicated." LOL. Good times.

Yeah, I thought about commenting to your LiveJournal, but I'm not signed up with them, and I hated to send you an anonymous comment, LOL. I may try out, one of these days. I'm so busy with the kids' many activities. I love The Music Man. We didn't see the one with Matthew Broderick. My husband loves the Music Man, too, and he flipped to the channel it was on last week. He stopped for a few minutes--we waited long enough to see who played Buddy Hackett's part, then he went on. I'm sorry--we're at that age that, when we see Matthew Broderick, all we can see is Ferris Bueller. We had been out of high school about 1 or 2 years when that movie came out, and we love it, LOL.

OK--back on topic. I've been thinking about the diary fic, and I have some ideas. Hopefully I'll start writing in a few days. We'll see.

Naw, it's cool. No one who comments in my LJ is signed up with them. LOL. All I get are anonymous comments.

Yeah, I'm not gonna have the Music Man discussion again - too many times. LOL. But I liked most of the old one better, except for Kristin Chenoweth - loved her as Marian.

ANYway... YAY! Diary fic! I'm so excited for that - I can't wait!

ANYway, I've been writing during those study periods and I'm having a bit of difficulty. Partly b/c people don't shut up during a study hall and partly b/c of what I had to write.

'iDOhavealife' was talking about the weirdness of writing a Ginger vamp scene. Well, writing a Duke "Hi-I'm-a-surfer-and-I'm-gonna-hit-on-you-now" scene is just as hard, if not harder. I'm so creeped out right now and I just felt the need to tell you. LOL.

The point of this post is: I need suggestions for connector scenes. When we last left the story, MA had inadvertantly led Duke to believe that Gilly was her boyfriend so he'd leave her alone. Gilly knows about this and has agreed to go alone with it, although he was a tad freaked out. NOW, what I need from you people, are random little scenes of them pretending to be "an item" to come in between what I've written and the scene that I'm currently writing that's creeping me out. I'm sure you can come up with a few cute little things. One idea I had was something with them at dinner. **shrug**

Pleeeeease let me know if anything just magically happens to come to you.

I could have preferred to not fill you in on the plot b/c I enjoy surprise...but I need suggestions. Plus, when I'm excited I feel the need to share... hehe.

Thanks....

Hey can't wait for both of your stories. They sound interesting, very good ideas!

Gilligan: Mrs. Howell, I might blow up.
Lovey: Oh, don't you dare get angry with me!

Default That's icky stuff?

I thought when you said "icky stuff" you meant slash or something.

But I ain't EVEN going there, just seeing these pairings... I'm gouging out my mind's eye now.
