Default Does/did your school have cliques?

Whenever I see movies about high school, or kids from other high schools in general, they always mention cliques.

I'll be a senior in the fall, and I don't really notice them. Maybe it's just different at my school. Basically everyone seems to be friends with everyone, and if they're not, its for personal reasons rather than the type of music they listen to or the clothes they wear.

The thing is, I don't know where I'd place myself if there were cliques.

yes, my school has cliques. There are the slutty clique of girls, there are the ******** clique of guys and there are a couple of small groups that aren't part of it.

Mine did too, but, I got along with most of them.

Middle school was the worst.

middle school for me was the best... then my family moved after 8th grade so I had to start HS knowing NO ONE and of course, the guidance counselor picked what I later found out was one of the most popular girls in school. Her clique ditched me 3 days later, they literally went out of there way and they don't know if, but I over heard them saying "come on, lets just leave her". That's some pretty devasting stuff for a 14 year old.

Mine did. Mostly stoners, partiers and sex-crazed people. That made up about 85% of the clique at school. The other 12% of us were normal people and 3% were Native Americans who often beat people up. When I was in high school, I lived 5 minutes away from a Native American reservation and most of the kids there went to school on their reservation, but there were others that preferred to be enrolled in the public school system there. I would often have to go through the reservation when I was driving down to my hometown, and we would pass the school...It was just one HUGE block with NO WINDOWS ON IT AT ALL. The only windows were on the doors. I seriously think I went to high school in a jail - and I don't joke about that. There were very few windows, and they were the kind that didn't open. Now, that was bad...but I would seriously feel like I went to HS in a jail on that reservation. [/ramble]

Mine definately did at first, but it seems to have dissipated as time went on....by senior year, it seemed like everyone was friends with who they wanted to be friends with.

The original cliques we had were: the preps(BIIIG population in my school), the partiers, the jocks, the nerds, the freaks(which consisted of goths, stoners, hippies, etc) and the "drama nerds"(half nerd half freak)
