Exclamation SCTV On Tvland Reruns Already?

Last nights 2 hr SCTV block on tvland was still funny but it was a rerun. Are they already into rerunning SCTV.

Seems to me when I used to watch the old SCTV syndicated shows in the US in the 70's and 80's there were more episodes than the ones tvland is showing.

Sometimes I think TV Land doesn't buy an entire run of a program. I think they even said so theirselves on the TV Land message boards.

Yeah, that's probably what it is. Too bad too, because there were TONS more episodes that were really good too.

Why bother going in half-a$$ed - buy the entire rights guys - geez!!

(I've yet to see a Tex & Edna Boil ad for their warehouse and emporium - one of my favourite bits).

I just watched The Fishing Musician with The Plasmatics on the Volume 2 disc set. Do they show the musical guests on the reruns?

I haven't seen any - I'm sure they've been cutting a lot out. I haven't seen The Fishing Musician or Red's Lodge.

The Tubes were on one of last Friday's episodes. That's the only musical guest I've seen so far since I've been watching SCTV on tvland for the past 3 weeks.

I was a little hasty on the rerun post the only rerun I can remember was the one with captain combat and the war movie and it was still funny.

They have been showing alot of new ones I havent seen the last couple of weeks. They are hysterical espcially the five neat guys.

The do show the musical acts too they have shown the boomtown rats john cougar mellencamp the tubes etc.,

That show is the best ever on tvland

Ah - now that you mention it, yes - I remember seeing John Cougar Mellenkamp on it - and doing the sketch too - yes - that was a great one. Missed The Tubes though.

I love Bob & Doug (of course) and the Leave It To Beaver sketch. I could see reruns of those all the time.

Actually I have it on, but will get on here and then miss some of what's going on - better just pay closer attention!

It's great seeing it on again - the apt. where the t.v.'s fly out of at the beginning has changed SO much from then. I drove past it a couple of weeks ago and you'd barely know.

Exclamation

The final 2 SCTV 30 minute shows that were all about the local election in Mellonville were Hysterical especially John Candy playing the crazy mayor of Mellonville Tommy Shanks running his capaign from the state mental hospital was hilarious.

They show Tommy Shanks sitting in this mental restraint bed saying Hi Im Mayor Tommy Shanks how you doing Im doing pretty good myself Vote for me for mayor and get me outta here ROTFLMAO

When Shanks debates Vic Hedges and starts talking incoherent I laughed so hard I liked to fell over
