"Makin' It" Theme Song Played on "WABC Rewound"
I was listening to WABC Rewound today that I heard the song by David Naughton called "Makin' It" from 1979. This was from a vintage Harry Harrison show from back in 1979. I was a year old back then. That's right! The theme song from the TV show bombed, but it lasted one season and a total of 7 epsiodes. Has anybody remembered the theme song?

Not a REAL big surprise...
Apparently this was a Top 10 hit for David Naughton (who starred in the show) in '79. I've never heard it on the radio (no surprise, since I was maybe 3 years old when it hit, and it's not a song that ages well). But I've seen it on those "Top 100 One Hit Wonders" shows with William Shatner that VH1 did a couple years back. They also have a scene in the movie Detroit Rock City that features that song. |
