This is one of the most underrated sitcoms. I didn't start watching this until it started syndication. It is also very funny. I thought Mark Curry would be a huge star. He's been quiet.

I never watched it until syndication either (although I saw the first 2 episodes in primetime in 1992, but don't remember them well at all). For a 90s sitcom it was one of the better ones IMO. No very special episodes, no faux dramatics, Mark Curry was a good physical comic. I liked Omar Gooding's performances as well. Year 1 is the season I've seen the fewest episodes of, but it seems like it was the best. Year 5 was the worst, although the very first and last episodes that season are entertaining. The Mark/Vanessa relationship was totally contrived to me, but in the end they left it up to the audience's imaginations as to whether or not they actually got married. I like that the show in the end didn't take itself seriously.

Who was Vanessa? Holly Robinson? I don't like her characters that she plays. Every character she plays is lame. Her character was lame on For Your Love tv show. Tamala Jones character on For Your Love was better than Holly's character but that isn't surprising cause Tamala's characters are always off the hook. She's a funny woman & a cutie.

Holly Robinson was Vanessa. I wouldn't consider Holly Robinson Peete a great actress. Her father, Matt Robinson helped her get into show business so she has connections. Matt was the first Gordon on Sesame Street. Yet she's getting residual checks from 3 different series: Jump Street, For Your Love and Cooper.

Remember her tv show Like Family that got cancelled earlier this yr? LOL. J Anthony Brown was on that show also.

I miss this show too, it was very underrated. I didn't know about it until the second season, when they added all the new characters.

I liked this show. I thought it was underrated. It was better than most of the sitcoms that came out in the 90's.

Highly underrated show. i wish they show reruns of it.
People that didnt watch it missed out on it.
