OUT OF THE BLUE. This show is listed as a spinoff of Happy Days in several books and websites and they are wrong wrong wrong. First of all, Out of the Blue premeired on ABC on September 9, 1979 as a new show. To boost ratings, ABC decided to do two crossover episodes in a span of 3 weeks. In the first episode of Out of the Blue, Mork makes a guest appearance and two eps after that, The character Random from Out of the Blue appeared on happy Days as a guest to bring more viewers to Out of the Blue. So no character of Out of the Blue never appeared on Happy Days before 1979 so it's no way it's a spinoff. Whoever wants to debate this with me let do it because i'm ready

I'll agree with you on this one. For a second, I thought you were going to argue that 704 Hauser Street was not a spinoff, because that was.

Three's A Crowd is also not a spinoff. It's just the Vicky Bradford Era of Three's Company-lol Can;t be a spinoff if the main character was still on the show. So it was a continuation of the series and it was renamed kind of like Archie Bunker's Place |

Solomon, what's your take on "Sanford" - spinoff or continuation of "Sanford & Son"?

Sanford is not a spinoff either. It's not a continuation either it's just was just a new 80's version of sanford and son without lamont. Sanford Arms was in some ways a continaution to me because the situation was still kind of the same. The same house was featured with 3 of the Supporting characters. I can just call Sanford Arms the 7th season of Sanford and Son. The only really Sanford and Son spinoff is GRADY. Grady was a show with The character Grady moving to another part of LA with his family. |

Yup, Archie's Bunkers Place was a revamped All In the Family for the decade of the 1980's. Defintely not a spinoff. |
