NBC Will Air 'Jordan' Again Next Season
(Monday, March 29 04:35 PM) LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) - Four weeks into a surprisingly strong return to the NBC schedule, "Crossing Jordan" has earned a green light for next season. The formal announcement Monday (March 29) of the show's pickup comes as no surprise; NBC chief Jeff Zucker indicated last week, at an event touting the network's development slate, that "Jordan" would be back next season. "The show has clearly earned this early pickup and signals the strength and stability of our new Sunday night schedule," Zucker says. "Crossing Jordan" was a solid ratings performer in its first two seasons, when it aired on Monday nights. It averaged close to 12.8 million viewers a week in its inaugural year, then dipped to 10.6 million last season against the stiff competition of CBS' "CSI: Miami." NBC held back the third season because of star Jill Hennessy's pregnancy. Since returning to the schedule on March 7, the show has averaged 12.5 million viewers; Sunday's (March 28) episode drew an audience of 14.7 million and a 5.4 rating among adults 18-49, NBC's favorite demographic. Sunday's episode also performed the rare feat of improving on its lead-in, "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" (14.5 million viewers, 4.8 rating in adults 18-49). All four Sunday episodes of "Crossing Jordan" have won their time period, and two additional airings on Friday have averaged better than 10.4 million viewers. |

I really wish they would bring back Michael T. Weiss as her brother. It is a good show though.
