Does anyone remember the UM story that was featured in one of the earlier seasons about Bill Day? He was married to this witch named Betty and they had a son named Christoph in 1980 (same year I was born) When the marriage broke up, Betty would refuse to let Bill see Christoph and she would continuously violate the courts rules of letting him see his son, so Bill had to take her to court several times. Eventually, she just took the kid and went into hiding. Bill was able track several people down that knew about Betty's "where-abouts" but she escaped again? In the interview, Bill seems so sad and he wants to be reunited with his son so badly. Every time I saw that case on TV, I prayed it would be solved, and that horrible Betty person would go to jail for kidnapping.
Recently, watching it again on Lifetime, I found out that the case was finally solved, with sad results. After 15 years, Bill finally tracked down Betty in 2000, only to find out that Christoph had died of cancer in 1998. Talk about sad results. The update didn't say whether Betty was arrested or not, I hope she was. |
