I heard from another Fat Albert Fan that they are planning to make a movie based on the Fat Albert cartoon. I kind of have mixed feelings here, part of me would love to see a movie based on the cartoon series, and yet there is another part of me that wishes that they would not. I guess because some of the cartoons which have gone to the big screen in the past, did not go over so well. I just hope that Bill Cosby is hired as a consultant for this movie, otherwise their is a huge potential for it to bomb badly, he should be given the authority to cast the actor to play Albert, as well as choose the actors for the Cosby kids as well. I would hate for a bad movie to be everyone's lasting impression of Fat Albert. Because there is a whole generation of kids who have never seen the cartoon series, and this movie is their first introduction to the Fat Albert character. But then again the movie may be well written, and directed, and it may do well at the box office, which may cause a great demand for the cartoon series to come back on the air. So, everyone keep your fingers crossed.

Bill Cosby, who wrote the script for the Fat Albert movie, recently stopped the production of the movie, because he and Director Forrest Whitaker had philosophical differences on how the movie should shot.

Fat Albert is based on Bill Cosby's real life childhood, and he should have complete control of the project from start to finish. If the Director cannot see Bill's vision, then they should get a new director to complete this project.
