i just went on eurweb.com, to look for the latest news on regina king and her is what i saw. "Where’s Calvin?: I caught up with Ray star Regina King who got her start in the business on the hit TV series, 227—one of my personal all-time favorites. I asked King the same question I posed in Jawn’s Juice several weeks ag “Where is Curtis Baldwin, who played Calvin on 227, and what’s he up to now?” King answered: “He’s doing music now. I’ll leave it at that. Hopefully one day we’ll hear some.”

Another interesting,little-known fact is that Curtis Baldwin has, in fact, been involved in music for over a decade! In 1993, he was part of a R&B trio called "One-II-3" which released an album on EMI Records called "Whole New Head." I bought this album at the time, because I was an avid R&B fan back then...but to be honest, I didn't realize till years later that it was Curtis! He looked very different on the cover, and I had never bothered to read the members' names (printed very small).
Anyway, it's a decent album...and definitely an interesting piece of nostalgia for diehard 227 fans! By the way, is there ANY chance that season two will see a DVD release? |
