Question Do You Remember "America's Funniest People"?

For those of you may remember there was a TV show came after AFV was "America's Funniest People" with Dave Coulier. Guess what, I found this theme song from cryan.com. Here is that opening theme.

America's Funniest People Theme

::in Jackelope (sp?) (a.k.a. Jack Ching Bada Bing) voice:: Fast as fast can be you'll never catch me!

Man I loved that show. People sent in tapes of themselves telling jokes or doing funny stunts, and they'd also tour malls to find people that did funny things. The first two seasons were hosted by Dave Coulier and Arleen Sorkin, but then for the rest of the run Arleen was replaced by Tawny Kitaen. Personally I liked Arleen better because I thought her quirkiness fit the show better. Tawny was just eye candy.

Oh yeah! I remember it now!!! I used to watch it - on Sundays, was it? I had totally forgotten about this show and the Jackelope! I didn't record anything, but I remember it was hilarious with all those videso of amature commedians. Who was the co-host again? I remember some lady but can't remember her name...

There were two co-hosts during the show's run. For the first half it was Arleen Sorkin, and then the second half it was Tawny Kitaen.

Yep! She co-hosted the show with Dave Coulier. I got a question, does Buena Vista TV bought the rights to "America's Funniest People" like the original AFV did was shown on PAX? I'm just curious.

I watched this show religiously in my younger days when it aired Sunday nights at 8:30 on ABC. (Right after Bob Saget's America's Funniest Home Videos was over) I thought it was hilarious at the time, but after recently watching most of the episodes again on TBS, I don't think it has aged very well at all. Most of the humor is dated and just not very funny overall, imo. I enjoyed watching the reruns for the nostalgia factor, though...as cheesy as they are, I still enjoy the bits with "comedy inventor", Mr. Bruce. (Bruce Baum)

For the person who asked if PAX owns the rights to the show, I really don't know. The last channel to air it was TBS, who played it very early in the morning. Unfortunatly, TBS no longer airs AFP...

I'm not exactly sure, but I think TBS still airs it late at night/early in the morning as filler from time to time if like a movie ends at a very odd time or something.

I looked up on the schedule on my digital cable that TBS doesn't show "America's Funniest People" anymore. The show used to air on TBS a couple of years ago. PAX is still airing classic episodes of AFV, but there is one thing. I'm not sure if PAX would air "America's Funniest People" anytime soon. Buena Vista TV has the rights to classic AFV but I don't know if Buena Vista will soon have the rights to the follow-up series. Will see.
