Hello all
To the best of my knowledge, Allan Melvin (Cpl. Henshaw) Mickey Freeman (Pvt. Fielding Zimmerman) Tige Andrews (Pvt. Gander) Terry Carter (Pvt. Sugarman) and Billie Allen (WAC Billie) are the only surviving regular cast members. Elisabeth Fraser (Sgt. Joan Hogan) died 5 May 2005, aged 85 Maurice Brenner (Pvt. Fleischman) died 25 August 2005 aged 79/80 Nick Saunders (Capt. Barker) died 16 August 2006, aged 92 Jim Perry (Lt. Anderson) died October/November 2006, aged 80 Beatrice Pons (Mrs. Emma Ritzik) is "missing in action". George Kennedy, who made several appearances, is still around. Thomas |

Mickey Freeman does frequent appearances and he loves to talk about the show. He also wrote a book about his experiences. He will be in NJ at the Super Mega show at the end of September.

Have not seen the remake of this wonderful show. I enjoy Steve Martin and I'm sure he does a good job in the new movie. However, I have seen movies where they try to remake the old B/W television shows and I have always been disappointed. The newer version cannot compete with the old b/W. One reason is that they do the newer version in today's world not in the world of the 50's. It was mentioned that Phil Silver's daughter played a role in the new movie. Please tell me what role she plays. I'd like to know. I might pick up the video of the movie. Thanks.
