Exactly, i wouldn't want someone like Shelly no where near my parents. And on top of being Unclassy, Uneducated, and Trashy, she is also coyote ugly-lol

I thought the Shelly character was a college graduate. I wouldn't say she is any of those adjectives in the series, but she is at times (from the dozen or so episodes I've seen), childish, petty, immature, shallow and materialistic. But I know college educated people in their 20s who are just like her so it's not an unrealistic character.

Anyway its too late to cast a real hood type rapper as her boyfriend because even if they did this show is so predictable you know that he'd only be around for a handful of shows to stir up tension to the point of getting Shelly and JT back together which is exactly what is going to happen sooner or later. A sitcom about a rough neck type guy and his more prim girlfriend would be interesting to see though, like he's a thug with a shady background and her family is terrified of him, but it's a sitcom. That would be interesting to watch.

Shelly went to Design School for 3 years. She made that statement in Pimps Up DivaStyle Down.

I think Jason George is good as J.T. He and Shelly were good for messing around but as a serious partner I agree with J.T's mother. By the way they were a couple on Barbershop so there was some chemistry with them if only to help "bring her acting up".

Bumper did have a lead in a ABC comedy where he played big brother to a little boy named Mystro Harrell ( ithink that was his name) anyway I thing they were orphans and they live in a apartment with some white dude. The cut little boy was suppose to help carry the show but there wasn't much to look at beyond that. He was also co-starred in a drama where he played one of three criminals force to do government work trapping big criminals. It was actual pretty interesting. But he's probably co-star material?

I might've seen about 12 episodes tops of this series- have they ever done any plots around JT's job? I've seen the women at the design house and Nick at the IRS and of course Donanvan at the nightclub, but it would almost appear that JT's work is considered not good material for this type of comedy. Isn't he a physical therapist or something like that?

I believe that Jason George was cast in this specifically because he and Eve had done those Barbershop films together and since Eve has limited acting experience they put her together with someone she felt more comfortable working with.

I still say they could just get rid of her from this show and it wouldn't really make the show any worse.

Natalie is OK but I think that she plays better when her somewhat dimwit of a husband is in it.

Yes, Shelly dislocated her knee while working out with Rita and Shelly finally consented to see J. T. because had fixed it before. She made a date with his boss who was a doctor and to get back at her, J. T. told her she had to wear some orthopedic shoes.

I know it was weird seeing him on there knowing he was the original JT, actually during that episode I was trying to imagine him as JT, I don't know I guess I got use to Jason George cause I couldn't really imagine Bumper as JT. Was it just me or did he have like no speaking lines except in the end. I personally would have liked to see him in a few more episodes also to really see if he and Shelly had the chemistry, cause they weren't alone long enough to really tell.

I agree! I would have like to seen him in a couple of episodes. I tried to imagine him in the part too but like you said, since he hardly said anything made it difficult.
