Hope one day they will put this one out on DVD. It'd be cool if they would include it as an addition to Sanford and Son Season 6 Box set.

Also there is his nephew. This is a GREAT show! I was really surprised that I almost like SANFORD better than Sanford and Son. Fred has mellowed out a bit and his banter with new partner Cal is hilarious. The show is also more meaningful and heartfelt than S&S(especially in S&S's later years). In one episode, Fred REALLY does have the BIG one and has to rely on Cal to take care of him. You can tell that deep down they are really good friends and can depend on each other. That doesn't stop Fred from insulting Cal, especially regarding his WEIGHT.

CAL: I'll just go out through the kitchen.

FRED: Yeah, why don't you go in there and molest the refrigerator!!!
This show should have lasted longer than 1 season!!!

Jeff have a question for you. Which scenes do you like better after seeing Sanford?

Fred and Clara?
OR
Fred and Aunt Esther?

Clara was the maid of Fred's girlfriend EVE.

I love that scene where Fred comes in and Clara says:

"Dont sit on the couch, I just cleaned it. And don't walk on the floor I just waxed it. And don't touch the tables I just dusted them."

FRED: Tell you what Clara, why don't I just fly around the room?!! Look here, why don't you take that vacuum cleaner and suck yo face up into it"?!!!

Her comebacks remind me of Florence from The Jeffersons. I think I would have like their interactions more if I saw more scenes with the two of them together. The Esther comebacks were getting old by season 6. Who do you prefer?

That's the scene I just watched with Fred and Clara which is why I posted the Question-lol But I prefer Clara because she wasn't one dimensional like Esther. Esther said the same all the time-"Watch it sucka" Now on the flipside, Clara called Fred-"STUPID CUPID"-lol

Yeah, that's the one I watched last night. I like when Fred first comes in to the house at the beginning.

CLARA: Oh, it's ONLY YOU.

FRED: How can you talk that way to me? After all, I DREAMT about you last night.

CLARA: (Uncertain) You dreamt about me? What happened?

FRED: I woke up screaming. It was a NIGHTMARE!!!

Esther WAS rather one-dimensional. You could really tell in her scenes with Lamont when Fred wasn't around.

Another great scene from that episode was when Fred was in the jewelry store and kept making fun of that fat woman.

LADY: Part of me says take it, buy it . . . and the other part of me says, no, be sensible . . .

FRED: But what part of you has been saying 'FEED ME! FEED ME!!!

And later, when the gunmen come in to rob the place.

FRED: Don't shoot! (Points to lady) Shoot her. She's a bigger target . . . YOU CAN'T MISS!!!
