Question Chris Elliott, get a life!

Reposted from old boards:

Does anyone else remember "Get a Life!"? It was a FOX sitcom that ran from 1990-92. Chris Elliott played a 30 year old paperboy. "Get a Life" was very weird and hilarious.

If you haven't seen this show or don't remember seeing it, USA Network is going to start running the episodes after the U.S. Open ends. It's time-slot will be 1:30pm EST.

Sure, I remember that show. I hardly remember the episodes but I do remember one where Chris got pulled over by the cops and her tried to bribe the cop with a handfull of change. I laughed my ass off at that.

I certainly remembered the show, but didn't really remember any details about any particular episode, so I'm thrilled it's back on tv. Thanks for the tip, btw. I've found myself having to skip a few classes to watch it at 12:30, but it's been well worth it so far. I love it. I looked for an episode guide to see how long the show lasted, and was disappointed that it only lasted for 35 episodes, which means that after 7 weeks of reruns, it will have to be either recycled, or possibly even replaced by USA. It's one of
those shows that is so stupid, it's hilarious. The episode where he becomes a male model and the episode where he tries to get his driver's license have to be my favorites, IMO.

Cool! I had no idea it was going to be on USA! I'll have to set my VCR up to record it...

Of course, the episodes are all out on video... you all *knew* that, right?

I loved that show, at first I thought he was a paperboy because he didn't want to conform with everyone else and become a wage slave in the system. I was a little disappointed that he was still a paperboy because he was an idiot, but I still loved that
show.

Get A Life was one of the best short lived shows of the 90's. I was a big fan of Chris Elliot when he was on Letterman. It's a shame he hasn't done more TV work.

Great show!

I loved the episode where Chris found a picture from when he was a kid visiting Amish country.

And then he thought he was really Amish. So he leaves home to look for his "real" family.

He called himself Emmet.
