Hawaii Five-O
With several other hour long "cop" shows on dvd, does anyone know why the heck Hawaii Five-O is not out yet? To me it was much better than Starsky & Hutch, Baretta, or Magnum P.I.
I know that is just my opinion, but the show did run for 12 seasons, so someone liked it, although I will admit the last season wasn't that great. I've heard that CBS owns the rights to the master prints of the show (smells like a "My Three Sons" scenario to me there) and Viacom syndicates the show, but only 175 of them that have been digitally remastered. As far as I know the only channel showing it in the US is the Hallmark Channel with a once weekly airing at 2:00am Eastern Time. Of course plently of their "family" (read mega-depression) shows are on two and three times a day. I get so sick of seeing the same handful of series on ten different channels, it's like there is no variety left anymore. Chad |
