They came back ... in record numbers!

NEW YORK, July 13 -- Sunday's telecast of the USA Network original series "The 4400" was the highest-rated and most-watched new series premiere ever on basic cable, with a 5.7 in households, a 3.48 in P18-49, a 3.75 in P25-54 and 7.4 million viewers watching in 5 million homes tuning in.
"We're thrilled with the extraordinary response to "The 4400" from critics as well as viewers," said Bonnie Hammer, president, USA Network and SCI FI

Kudos to USA for the ratings win and rightly so. The premiere was incredible.

Last Sunday's episode was great, but during the previews, something was said to the effect of, "Next Sunday, the mystery will be solved."

Does anybody know if this is just the season finale, or is the entire series over? Could this have been just a miniseries? I sure hope not...I think The 4400 is the best show on TV right now.

More episodes may be ordered. It is more of a limited run series than a miniseries, really, considering the fact that it has been airing weekly, rather then in day after day routine for miniseries.

I heard on USA's boards that 13 more episodes are being ordered. Cross your fingers, fans.
