Default Why is the last season not in syndication?

Why is the last season of the Steve Harvey show not in syndication? Everytime my local channel that airs reruns of the show gets past season 5, it starts over again at season 1.

What is up with that? Only TBS airs the last season. I am not a big fan of the last season, I think the only good thing about the last season, was that Steve and Regina finally got together. I don't think it was that bad of a season. I don't know why the last season is not in syndication.

If you mean UPN9 they have a strange way with more than a couple of shows. They regularly skip certain episodes of A Differnent World and when they showed Moesha they would only show years 2-4. They probably do this kind of thing with other shows that I don't watch. Also, I noticed with Drew Carey they didn't show the 8th season reruns.

On my local UPN, they show the episode where Cteve gets a documentary made about his life, and next they show the first episode...

The UPN here showed the last season. Correct me if I'm wrong, but during the last season, didn't Steve and Regina get together and Cedric and LaVitta(sp?) were expecting? That's the one that is shown on UPN and then the next episode is something from a different season.

When shows go into syndication, I've noticed that they never show them in order.

I think this show is only played on TBS here.

And our local fox station ALWAYS shows syndicated shows in order.

When shows go into syndication, normally they don't show them in the order in which they originally aired on the network. They normally they show them in production number order.

This can be true, but it depends upon the show. For example I bought the Good Times year 2 dvd and the 2 part episode where JJ is arrested has an unrelated episode that was seemingly produced in between parts 1 and 2, judging by how the episodes are presented on the DVD, yet when it was syndicated the 2 parter was to my memory reran back to back.

I am guessing that most shows now are shown in broadcasst order when they are syndicated because most shows have some type of continuing storyline. THe exception would be Christmas episodes or mother's day or Thanksgiving episodes.
