First off I would like to say, that was an excellent post, man. I actually got a tear in my eye reading that last line.

I'd now just like to add that I also agree, I hope the legacy of this great board lives on and that our departing does not cause it's complete demise. We made alot of great memories here, and I'd hate to see this fine board die. I do hope that new members can carry on what we've all built. I've been around since mid-2002, and I can really say that I have been posting here regularly since the dawn of the so-called "Modern HD Board", I met alot of great people here, some who I have become quite close to and will never forget. I have had many great times here I will always treasure.

While there has been a fight thats torn this current board's population apart to unrepairable purportions, I hope to find that new members can bring life to this board and make it as great as it once was. As much as I hate to go, quite obviously our time here is up, and as Chad said, all good things have to come to an end sometime. This just happens to be our time.

No, this is not a sappy "I'm Leaving Forever!!!!" pity post as some people might think, this is just our final farewell thread that we are leaving for future newbies to see to kind of get an idea of how great this board really is, and how close the members of it are. Like Chad said, we're all family here. Our departure cannot shatter our wonderful memories, memories from better times here where it seemed like everything was perfect, and it sure as heck cant shatter this board. Its much too strong for that. I've called this place home for over 2 years now, and this is where my heart is at online. It's really hard for me to say this, but I feel that I must...

You are one of the reasons I started posting here, cause you are always so nice, and made me feel like I was welcome.

Aimee: NOOOOO!!!!! *comes in with rifle and shoots cieling, so debris fall on the last two speakers...they ignore this and walk away*

*scary Terminator music plays as Ashlee comes out with one of them really big guns they have in alien movies. She rips off her sun glasses and...bitches*

Chad: This isn't fair...

TF:... You're not being fair.

*footsteps are heard and a shadow is seen at the door of the studio*

Voice: I will have no more of this.

*A man's voice. It is that of one Mr. George Feeny*

*everyone's head snap turns toward the older man*

Feeny: For years now I've watched you all grow together...have fun together, acknowledge one another through good times...*he looks them over*...and the bad.

*Ashlee is still bitching and Jackie clamps her hand over her mouth*

Feeny: What I've always wanted of you children is for you to be happy. And to see that you only let the bad times ruin you, instead of the great ones let you prosper...I am highly disappointed. I had expected this one to last. Not many do. I have expected this one to be special. Many are. If a group of people share special times together, is it really possible for them to end it over...*voice raises* a mindless quarrel?! *voice lowers*Times change, and so do people...this does not mean that these certain people's hearts are connected no longer. Paying attention to what has happened in the past...is a wonderful thing, it's wonderful that we have these pictures in our mind what isn't wonderful...is when you only grasp on to these, so as to not allow more to develop. To cut that off, to push it aside and let that never happen...is your own decision. *looking down* I just thought that I had taught you better. Just for your information...so nothing is taken the wrong way and I TRIED my best to keep it that way...I'm affirming the above. It was a mockery of all of our stupidity. Of all of our stupidity in general adding to this. I tried to point out what you had left out, TF and Chad. I tried to bring in...an older, wiser man to reach out to you and to show you...what you're missing. I hope you read that in the same way I had written it.

What can I say that hasn't already been said and wonderfully by Chad and TF.

I feel like i'm graduating from High School, again.

We've had some great times here and memories to last our whole lives: Happy Days Mafia, Vacation Threads, Post races,
avatar contests, the HD Infirmary--(Chad and TF are probably still in surgery, lol) and i'm sure we'll make new memories.

I've made close friends here that I plan to keep for life and I wish that for all you new people.

Well I'm starting to ramble so i'll end with this final thought.
Roby and Crystal are great moderators and sometimes they have to put up with a lot. I hope that you can appreciate everything they do.

Very well-said, all of you. This may sound stupid, since I haven't known you guys that long, but I actually started crying reading this. I don't know what to say, but...for those of you who are leaving this board, I'm going to miss you (even though you'll still be at SO). I hope that somehow, you'll be able to patch up your differences. And in spite of your departures from HD Chit Chat, I really hope the board will stay alive.
