I love WGN; I have the network here in Southern California, and watch The Rockford Files, and right now WGN is showing McMillan and Wife

anyone else remember the days when WGN used to broadcast the WB series? Like Buffy, Charmed, Dawson's Creek? this was in the late 90's, but at the beginning of the 99-00 TV season, they switched, so my city went Buffy/Charmed-less for a few weeks until we came up with our very own WB channel.

WGN's been around in my area for more than 20 years and fortunately, I've been able to watch it all that time.

Here, the WGN Superstation feed is right on lower-end basic cable, on Ch. 9 (Think about that a second, the significance will come to you...)
As for that WB station that airs UPN content: Until last season, the WB affil available over-the-air (Read: Antenna) here did the same thing... |

Yes it's funny we don't have WGN Superstation, but TBS has been channel 11 for a long time.

It's unreal to me that your area is without that channel. What a load of bull. Somebody needs to write up a petition so they'll offer it!

I wish there was a way to combine WGN's local and national programming together, the local programming is no better than any other typical WB station.
However, here's what I would do with WGN's local and national feed, make them into one station (meaning what you see in Chicago is exactly what you see elsewhere). Realistically, I know this would never happen because programming rights, etc., but this is for fantasy purposes. Weekdays--all times Central 5am WGN Morning News 9am Maury Povich 10am Sharon Osbourne 11am Andy Griffith 11:30 The Beverly Hillbillies 12pm WGN News at Noon 1pm Happy Days 1:30 Celebrity Justice 2pm Street Smarts 2:30 Who Wants to be a Millionaire 3pm Kids WB 5pm Sabrina the Teenage Witch 5:30 Will & Grace 6pm Friends 6:30 Everybody Loves Raymond 7pm WB Primetime 9pm WGN 9 O'Clock News 10pm Becker 10:30 Home Improvement 11pm The Drew Carey Show 11:30 Dharma & Greg 12am Elimidate 12:30 The 5th Wheel 1am Matlock 2am Rockford Files 3am In the Heat of the Night 4am Infomercials |

There's no way of that happening here in San Antonio since my cable system where I live I have WGN(the national feed) and the WB Station KRRT-WB35-San Antonio. You can't have 2 WB stations competing against each other with the same lineups.
