this is my new fic, i'm getting pretty tired of writing my old one, but dont worry i haven't forgotten about it

but i had a great idea for a new fic, my girl kelly told me something about fic writing that gave me a real good idea, so this is what i came up with. and this is the setting: 2004, but the story starts out the summer before Raina's 15th bday, and her many trials of the teenage years. It starts out a little slow, but dont worry soon it'll get really interesting

The trip to camp was six hours from Raina’s house, so they carpooled with other kids from the area that were go Raina rushed in from an afternoon swimming with her friend Justine, and ran up the stairs.
“How was the pool, hun?” asked Raina’s mom
“um, great” Raina yelled before she shut the door of her room. She quickly changed into ab easy summer outfit, and clicked “I’m back” from the away message on her computer.
She got an IM from her friend Rachel
Raysfun: “hey, ur on” it read. Raina quickly typed back
nabababe: yeah, I just got home
raysfun: where were u?
Nanababe: yeah, ‘cept I ran into that snotty megan
raysfun: eek, poor u. whatever happened w/ u and her anyway?

Raina sighed, and looked at the clock. It was starting to get late in the evening, but she decided she’d rather chat with one of her best friends than go somewhere again, even if it was summer.
So Raina started telling the long story..............

Raina had always had trouble being well behaved as a child. Finally her parents had had enough, and took her to a psychiatrist. The doctor diagnosed depression, gave her pills, and sent her to a counselor. Raina saw the counselor once a week.

Both the counselor and the doctor noticed that Raina’s parents were unusually controlling, and caused Raina and her parents to fight constantly.
One week the counselor suggested that, as a way ti break a few strings away from her parents was to go to camp. Raina resisted at first, but finally decided to make the best of it and go have fun. At the end of the week at camp, there was gonna be a dance, and Raina was determined to have a date.

Raina climbed into the van ans saw familiar faces. Her friends Stacy, Anna, and megan were there. And then there was a guy Raina had never met.
“Hi, I’m Raina.” she said smiling, and sitting down.
“Hey, I’m Isaac” he smiled and started eating candy.
“Okay....” Raina thought
During the ride the five of them played card games and laughed, and Raina and Isaac became pretty good friends on the ride.
Once at camp, Raina hopped off the van, grabbed her luggage, and got in line for registration.
“Hey, I’m Beth” once girl said, smiling at Raina.
“hey, I’m Raina” Raina smiled back, and the girls became instant friends.
Raina finally got up to the front of the line.
“Hi, Raina, I’m sure you’ll have a great time here” the woman said “do you have any medications?” she asked
“um....” Raina lowered her voice. “I have to take lexapro for depression” she whispered.
The woman smiled “don’t worry, I’ll make sure no one finds out.”

Raina gathered her things and went into her cabin, and placed her stuff in a bunk.
Raina was having a pretty good time at camp, until one day she went kayaking with Megan, Stacy, and Anna. Since you can have two or three people in a boat, they had two in each. Stacy and Megan took one boat, and Raina and Anna went in another. They were all about halfway out into the lake, when Megan yells
“hey, Anna, wanna come into our boat?”
“Sure, let me get to shore!” Anna yells back
“what are we doing?” Raina asked
“I’m going into their boat” Anna replied
“well, what am I supposed to do?” Raina cried
“go find someone else to ride with.” Anna replied.
“I can’t, everyone is partnered up, and you were supposed to be my partner.” Raina tried to reason.
“Well, it’s not my problem and I guess you’re out of luck” Anna said jumping out of the boat once they reached shore.
Raina pulled the boat to the sand, and walked back to her room.
“Hey, Raina, what are you doing?” Isaac asked as she passed the volleyball court, where he was putting away all the balls.
“I’m going back to my room.” she said
“I”m almost done here, wanna do something?” he asked
“Um, no thanks, I really don’t feel well” she managed a week smile, and walked into her cabin room.

Raina tried to hold back the tears while she wrote a post card home. She told in the letter all that had happened that afternoon, how Anna had ditched her and how Megan, Stacy and Anna had no cares for Raina’s feelings. Raina addressed and stamped it, and put it in the outbox for mailing.

Later that afternoon Raina was in the snack shack with her friends Beth and Dion. A guy walked in. Tall, brown hair and eyes, thin and toned, everything Raina liked in a guy.
“Ooh, who’s that?” Raina asked.
“Oh, that’s Mark.” Dion replied
“yeah, pretty cute, aint he?” Beth asked with a wink, in a joking way.
“Yeah, he’s the one” Raina said
“the one what?” Beth asked
“the one who’s gonna take me to the Friday night dance”
“go for it, he’s totally single.” Dion said
Just then the doors opened to the snack shack.
“RAINA WASHINGTON!!!!!!!!!!” Isaac yells
“RAINA!!!!!!!!!!!!” he says again
“um, is that your brother?” Dion asked
“um, no, thank God” Raina laughed
“why does he constantly follow you around?” Beth asked
“I don’t know, I smell good?” Raina shrugged

A few hours later everyone in the camp were in the main camp, and they had just finished a game. Raina was having a fun time and trying to forget about earlier that afternoon, and hanging with Beth, Dion, and Isaac, and had actually had a few conversations with Mark. Things were finally starting to look up, when the door swung open, and the camp nurse marches in, and yells so everyone can here: “RAINA WASHINGTON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YOU FORGOT TO TAKE YOUR LEXAPRO!!!!!! PLEASE COME TO ME SO YOU CAN TAKE IT!!!!!”
Raina turned bright red.
“Um, is that you?” Beth asked.
‘Yes!” Raina hissed, and slowly walked up to the nurse to take her pills.

Later that night Raina had just gotten out of the shower, and walked back to her bunk. Megan, Stacy, and Anna were waiting for her.
“Um...hi” said Raina
“hi.” said Megan, with her arms crossed.
“I guess y’all are wondering why I called this meeting.” Raina joked nervously.
“This isn’t time for jokes.” Anna snapped
“hush, I’ll handle this.” Megan hissed “Raina, take a seat” Megan said, pointing to the bed.
“Okay..............” Raina said, and sat.
Megan sat next to her and smiled.
“As sort of the leader of our group, me, Stacy, and Anna, I’m the one who has to talk to you.”
‘About what?” Raina asked
“well........” Megan glanced around the room, then looked at Raina. “Today the three of us went for a walk, and we stopped by the mailboxes.”
“Uh huh.” Raina said
“Well, we looked inside, and saw you had written a letter home. So we read it.” Megan said
“hold it..you read my letter? My personal letter?!?!?!?” Raina cried
“yes, and we were very pissed to see you wrote home lies about us.” Megan said.
“Excuse me. YOU”RE pissed?!?!? Everything in that letter was God’s truth!!!!” Raina yelled
“I can’t believe you’re writing about us behind our backs.” Megan said sterny, looking Raina in the eye.
“I can’t believe you read my mail and then had the gall to confront me about it!!” Raina yelled
“you bitch! No one treats Megan Hinkhouse like that!!” Megan screamed
“Get the hell out of my face!” Raina screamed back.
Megan, Anna, and Stacy left, leaving Raina to cry herself to sleep.
