The Wayans were on Oprah today. It was good in seeing them all together, Marlon, Shawn, Keenan, Damon, and Kim. They are truly a talented family. I like how close they are. I noticed something, when Oprah mentioned how they made fun of her, Kim apologized. It almost looked like she was about to cry. Kim was saying how because of who she is now, she wouldn't do those jokes about Oprah today. Did Kim go through some kind of transformation? Did she find something that changed her?

Keenan, Damon, Shawn, Marlon and Kim were on Oprah today. I missed the first 15 minutes, but they did talk briefly about "In Living Color." They discussed how every character on the show was based on someone they had known. Most suprising was the fact that Jim Carrey did a short piece about how grateful he was to Keenan and Damon and how he never would have made it without them.
I believe we'd talked a bit on this board about how the Wayans and Jim Carrey apparently feel about "In Living Color." None of them contributed to the DVD bonus materials and they don't seem to talk about the show much, making me wonder if they're somewhat disappointed with how the show in general turned out. I wonder if it's because Keenan's departure from the show was acrimonious. Anyhow, it was rather nice to see Jim's thank you. Call me crazy, but Keenan appeared a little teary whenever the show was mentioned. Maybe it's just me... |
