What's with this "abide by" the jury's verdict business? It's not like we're taking the law into our own hands and tracking O.J. down to shoot him or something drastic like that. (You know how there have been people before who didn't see justice done in the courtroom, so they sought personal revenge?) We're just having our opinions about the case. If we believed O.J. was guilty before, should we just, poof, think he's not guilty because the jury thought so? We can think they made a mistake. Mistakes happen in courts all the time. Innocent people have been known to go to jail, and guilty people have been known to walk free.

This "abide by the jury's verdict business" is just that, you people should accept it and go on with your lives.

If he had been convicted, and those of us who believe he is not guilty would complain, you would be saying exactly the same thing I am now!!

Oh, like the verdict is really "holding up" my life! You word things perculiarly. To tell us that we should "accept it and go on with [our] lives" suggests it's deeply affecting us to the point where we are distracted. Of course that's not true. Uh, we can still have discussions about the case though. It's been 10 years since the murders, and news programs are discussing it again. Should they not have? Should they just ignore it, and move on? Should we all just "go on" and never dicuss any history EVER AGAIN?

We aren't dwelling on the verdict. We know it can never be changed and O.J. can never be tried again. But just as you go on believing he is innocent, we go on believing he is guilty. Discussions are perfectly acceptable. I'm not even dicussing the details of the case with you, because as I said before, "it's futile." All I wanted to discuss here, is that it's perfectly fine to talk about history, and to disagree with verdicts from the past.

And actually, if O.J. had been convicted and you disbelievers complained about the verdict, I would not say, "go on." I'd actually say, the same thing I say to you all NOW: "Gravel for brains."

You're clueless. You're one of those people who feels that if someone doesn't agree with you, you have to call them on it, but attempt to do it in a "clever" way so you won't look silly. You're trying to throw in our face that we should accept the verdict and move on, because hell, you did it! You accept the verdict. The law has spoken. Why don't the rest of us listen?! Blah, blah, blah.

What do you want us to say? "We accept the verdict?" OKAY! I accept the verdict! Those 12 jurors found him 'not guilty' alright. Yes siree. O.J.'s walking free... I accept that too! Doesn't mean I have to agree with it. Don't worry. It doesn't affect my life. It doesn't change my life. The legal system isn't perfect and now I believe a killer is walking free. That is all.

You probably will respond to this, and you know what? I'm going to let you have the "last word" because this topic has become futile too. I'm done.

it is so funny how much different whites and blacks are on this topic.

Once I popped over to an AOL message board that was predominantly (75-80%) African-American, and they were discussing this topic, and every single AA poster in there jumped to OJ's defense, claiming all the hate for him is "white jealousy". Only one person actually believed OJ was innocent, but she said "Nicole and Ron deserved it for being white". Why is it that some African-American people are so starstruck bias that because OJ was at one time a "role model" for kids, that automatically he doesn't possess the capability to kill? OJ being guilty has absolutely nothing to do with racism, because the same people who are against OJ are also against Scott Peterson, so what is the excuse?

If OJ killed their sister or mom instead, would they be so damn defensive of the man?
