I've missed some episodes, but I did catch half of the season finale. I missed the ending. I saw when Joan was in the hospital and her parents were talking about how things were acting weird for them. So did Joan end up imaging everything due to her Lyme disease? Now are her parents going to start hearing things from God did way Joan thought she heard him?

We don't know if it was Joan's imagination or not. At the very end, after she overheard her parents talking about God, she says to them, "I don't believe in God." I was like no Joan don't say that! I have no clue what the plan on doing next season.

But then Teen God (the one in the corduroy jacket, not the punk/goth one) came back while she was sleeping and looked really concerned about her, which I assumed meant that he was real after all and not just a manifestation of the Lyme disease. I hope so. I don't see how the show could continue for another season if it turns out that Joan has just imagined God all this time.
