CBS Gives Last-Minute Hook to 'Stones' By Brian Ford Sullivan CHICAGO (thefutoncritic.com) -- In a last-minute move, CBS has opted to pull its midseason comedy "The Stones" from its schedule effective immediately. A repeat of "The King of Queens" (the episode "King Pong") will fill in for the series tomorrow night at 9:30/8:30c. It's expected either additional "Queens" repeats or reruns of other CBS comedies will fill the show's Wednesday, 9:30/8:30c slot through the end of May sweeps. "The Stones" pulled a 5.2 rating/8 share in households and a 2.4 rating in adults 18-49 for its most recent airing, based on fast national data, well behind former time slot holder "Becker's" first-run average in the slot earlier this season (7.0/11). The move leaves six of the comedy's nine produced installments of the shelf. |

This isn't surprising. They should have let Becker stay on.
