Default TBS

I read somewhere (maybe here) that TBS is dropping the "superstation logo" to TBS very funny. Are they adding new sitcoms to their lineup or is the lineup somehow channging when this happens?

It is true. TBS will no longer be TBS Superstation. Personally I think TBS Very Funny sucks.

I know. I hate it when networks radically change. I thought the symbol they have now is cool.

It's not just that but the phrase "TBS Very Funny" sounds stupid. It sounds like something a 2-year-old would say.

It happens in June. The schedule will basically remain the same but with Sex and the City being added and some primetime reality series, like a remake of Gilligan's Island coming next fall (see the Gilligan board for the TBS: Very Funny article). Everybody Loves Raymond reruns are coming this fall as well.

They don't have plans to take Mama's Family (The one good show LEFT on the net IMO) out, do they?

Not only that, but that slogan dosen't make sense when they show countless Atlanta Braves baseball games during the summer.

The whole thing is just really dumb. "TBS Very Funny" just sounds stupid as was already mentioned.

Lovely...another station showing reality shows. Whem will it end? Must I lead the fight against the reality alone?

Sex & The City is a big yawn from me. I saw it once and its a poorly-written sitcom with so many profanities that it sounded like it was written by a eleven-year old trying to make his parents mad.

Everybody Loves Raymond is another shrug from me.

Why can't they pick up Frasier?

When will Matlock come back?

And "TBS Very Funny" is their name? Oh, dear. Could this signal another station fallen?

OKAY!
What is funny about their line up now or another reality show?
Not all the movies they play are funny and that stupid dinner and a movie or whatever crap is lame. I dont think that bringing Sex and The City is going to make the channel funny. I have no opinion on the show since I have not followed it regularly, but I think that if they edit it the way they edit other stuff, and I am sure the editing department will have lots to edit that the show will not really be the same as when you watch it on HBO.

*Side Note - Sex/City should stay on HBO reruns like they do with OZ, a lot of the jokes on Sex will lose its appeal when its edited.

Sex and the City will be chopped to pieces. On HBO, it aired commerical free, well on TBS, there will probably be 7 to 8 minutes of commericals, not to mention editing for content.
