In Addition, Two Freshman Dramas Also Extended Full Season Orders For the second consecutive season, the ABC Television Network has given back nine episode pick-up orders to all of its first season comedies: "Hope & Faith," "I'm with Her," "It's All Relative" and "Married to the Kellys," it was announced today by Susan Lyne, president, ABC Entertainment. "We're immensely proud to have successfully launched 10 new comedies in just two-and-a-half seasons," commented Ms. Lyne. "ABC's record in the comedy arena remains unparalleled." ABC also announced that it has extended full season orders to two of its new dramas, "10-8" and "Threat Matrix." "'10-8' and 'Threat Matrix' are performing for us in very competitive time periods," Ms. Lyne continued. "The shows are growing creatively, and we have confidence that they will build audience as they are sampled by more viewers." Increasing momentum for ABC in the hour, the drama builds on its lead-in and grows by 8% in Total Viewers and by 15% among Adults 18-49 throughout its broadcast on average. Aaron Spelling, E. Duke Vincent and series creator Jorge Zamacona serve as executive producers of "10-8," which is produced by Spelling Television Inc. "Hope & Faith," which stars Faith Ford as Hope, Kelly Ripa as Faith, Ted McGinley as Charley, Nicole Paggi as Sydney, Macey Cruthird as Hayley and Paulie Litt as Justin, leads its time period and ranks as the No. 1 television series on Friday night in Adults 18-49 and Adults 18-34. In fact it has been the top entertainment show on the night among young adults for five consecutive weeks. In its series premiere (9/26/03), "Hope & Faith" qualified as the highest-rated series debut for ABC on Friday night in seven years - since the series debut of "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" on 9/27/96. In fact the sitcom opened with the highest Adult 18-49 rating for a series debut on any network on Friday night in three years - since the opening episode of CBS' "CSI" on 10/6/00. Versus ABC's delivery in the time period at the same point last season, "Hope & Faith" has boosted the Net's totals by 3.8 million viewers and by 48% among Adults 18-49. The show's creator/executive producer is Joanna Johnson; executive producers are Emile Levisetti and Guymon Casady. "Hope & Faith" is produced by Touchstone Television. "I'm with Her," which stars Teri Polo as Alex Young, David Sutcliffe as Patrick Owen, Danny Comden as Stevie Hanson and Rhea Seehorn as Cheri Baldzikowski , leads Tuesday at 8:30 p.m. by a substantial 42% among Adults 18-49. The freshman comedy also ranks No. 1 in its time slot among Adults 18-34, Teens 12-17 and Kids 2-11. On average "I'm with Her" is retaining a solid 82% of its sizeable young adult lead-in from "8 Simple Rules for Dating My Teenage Daughter." Marco Pennette and Chris Henchy, who co-created the series, are the executive producers, along with "Smallville's" Mike Tollin, Brian Robbins and Joe Davola, and Jack Burditt (award-winning writer, "Mad About You," "Frasier"). "I'm with Her" is from Tollin/Robbins Productions and Warner Bros. Television Production Inc. "It's All Relative," which stars Lenny Clarke as Mace O'Neil, Harriet Sansom Harris as Audrey, Reid Scott as Bobby, Maggie Lawson as Liz, Christopher Sieber as Simon, Paige Moss as Maddy and John Benjamin Hickey as Philip, ranks No. 1 in its Wednesday, 8:30 p.m. time period, leading its half-hour by 14% in Total Viewers and by an even stronger 35% among Adults 18-9. Anne Flett-Giordano and Chuck Ranberg (both of "Frasier") are executive producers and writers. Craig Zadan and Neil Meron (both of "Chicago") are executive producers. "It's All Relative" is produced by Paramount Television and Touchstone Television. "Married to the Kellys," which stars Breckin Meyer as Tom, Kiele Sanchez as Susan, Nancy Lenehan as Sandy, Emily Rutherfurd as Mary, Josh Braaten as Chris, Derek Waters as Lewis and Sam Anderson as Bill, ranks No. 1 in its time period among Adults 18-34, Teens 12-17 and Kids 2-11. "Married to the Kellys" is essentially tied for first place in its half-hour among Adults 18-49 with CBS' "Joan of Arcadia." On average, "Married to the Kellys" retains 100% of its Adult 18-49 lead-in and builds on its lead among Women 18-34, Teens 12-17 and Kids 2-11. The series is executive-produced by Tom Hertz, and is a production of Brad Grey Television in association with Twentieth Century Fox Television. "Threat Matrix" stars James Denton as John Kilmer, Kelly Rutherford as Frankie Ellroy Kilmer, Will Lyman at Colonel Roger Atkins, Anthony Azizi as Mo, Kurt Caceres as Tim Vargas, Mahershalalhashbaz Ali as Jelani and Melora Walters as Lia Larkins. Despite facing stiff competition in the Thursday, 8:00 - 9:00 p.m. time period, "Threat Matrix" has been able to build its audience from the first half-hour to the second half-hour by 3% in Total Viewers and by 12% among Adults 18-49 on average. "Threat Matrix" has also improved the hour for ABC this season by 6% among its core Men 18-49 audience. "Threat Matrix" is executive-produced by Daniel Voll, Michael Edelstein, Jim Parriott, Emile Levisetti and Keith Addis. "Threat Matrix" is produced by Industry Entertainment in association with Touchstone Television. |
