I think she is a little too young to be playing Alex's mom. I mean it was just 15 years ago that Cybill was Alex's age on Moonlighting.

Seems fine to me. She's 19 years older and the look is right. I think it could be a good fit.

It should have been Farrah Fawcent. She looks just like Teri Polo and the age is just right.
