It was stated that Eric Monte selected the Chicago Ghetto area as the setting of Good Times because that's where he grew up. So i don't recall Maude living anywhere near the Cabrini Green Projects in Chicago. Lear also mentioned that Florida's FAREWELL show not EPISODE was very emotional. It was also said that Esther Rolle's Character was written OFF the show so she could star in a "NEW TYPE OF COMEDY", not her own spinoff.

Writers probably made error by not changing the name of Esther Rolle's Good Times chaacter.

That would be a pretty BIG error don't you think? I'm still not convinced it wasn't a spinoff. She still played the role of Florida Evans who used to be a maid of Maude. Hence, it was still a spinoff.

HUH??? I just said Good Times was about the life of Eric Monte growing up in the city of Chicago and his experiences in the projects. SO WHAT DOES ALL THAT HAVE TO DO WITH MAUDE? Esther Rolle's character name on Good Times obviously was an error since the show is about Eric's Life.

It wasn't an error, professional writers don't make "errors" like that. You are mistaken and always find ways to twist and turn things that you read into what YOU want to believe. Well can you give me an intlligent answer as to why the name of John Amos Character was changed and not Esther Rolle's?

They changed it!!! The better question is why would they keep the recognizable name of Florida Evans from Maude and keep it for Good Times. An intelligent answer Solomon, not "They made an error" Otherwise no matter what you claim, you have no case.
