While Alex anxiously awaits to find out if she has a chance of being nominated for an Oscar, Patrick convinces her to go away with him to a secluded spa to ditch the Hollywood scene and her demanding publicist, Samantha (Amy Pietz), during the announcements. But as Alex begins to relax, curiosity starts to nag Patrick about whether his movie star girlfriend has been recgonized for the prestigious award.

This episode was really clever; it showed Patrick taking on Alex's worries as his own, showing how closer they're becoming. Really sweet. The funniest scene was where Patrick and company tell Alex about her nomination in the middle of a meditation session and the meditators are completely oblivious to their screaming. Ignorance is bliss??
The bar scene was really funny, too.I could have done without the pseudo-lesbo bit Samantha and Cheri used to make Stevie talk. That's a little over the top. Otherwise, a very fine episode. ![]() So, have you talked to a horse lately?

Over the top? Have you ever seen Stevie? His character breakdown must have read something like: STEVIE: white, early 30s, must be over the top with EVERY SINGLE LINE. Of course, that's just my opinion. It was a very funny episode, which was good because I thought they needed a strong one after being off. |

Of course Stevvie is over the top. Just like Jack Black or Kramer from Seinfeld is over the top. Personally, I find it hilarious. He's brings an energy that this show absoluetly needs. Without Stevie....ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ. Just my opinion.

No, no, I don't have a problem with Stevie, but why did the script call for Cheri and Samantha make out? That's what I thought was a little over the top.
