It was a great show. IT WAS NOT A SPIN OFF OF M.A.S.H. like most people think. Actually, M.A.S.H was based on a Novel, the same Novel isnpired Trapper John,MD.

Many people say that the series Trapper John was just mean to CA$H in on the sucess and popularity the character had gained on M.A.S.H. Well yes, this was true. But then it gained its own loyal following. TJMD was not a show put together quickly with crummy plots like most cash in shows(a.k.a My Big fat Greek Life)

Trapper John had stories and character development and ran for 7 successful years. And where as there were lawsuites against it by the makers of M.A.S.H. It kept on kicking.
