"Meet the Parent" - Patrick is excited to have his hard-to-please mother, Rosalyn (Susan Sullivan, "Dharma & Greg"), meet his famous girlfriend during the Thanksgiving holiday. But when Rosalyn shocks Alex by telling her to break it off with her son, Alex decides to win her over by preparing Thanksgiving dinner herself -- which could prove to be a daunting task since she doesn't know how to cook. Betty White makes a special cameo appearance, on "I'm with Her," TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 25 (8:30-9:00 p.m., ET), on the ABC Television Network.

Seeing as this episode is called "Meet The Parent," and given its plot, it looks as though here Teri Polo will be playing the Ben Stiller role - which he played opposite someone you might have heard of, Teri Polo - from the similarly titled movie.
Who says irony is dead? This one should be good. Let's hope we don't have to see Alex paint a cat!

This one was hilarious! I've always liked Susan Sullivan - she was the best part of "Dharma and Greg," as far as I'm concerned - and here she stole the show! Betty White had the best guest star line, though - "My boyfriend's mother's a pain in the ass, too!"
Best line from a cast member - Teri Polo as Alex, offering this opening triple - "It's so sad. . . .Why did they have to break up. . . .I was so good in this movie!" The whole episode was a sweet and humorous mix of Alex trying to please Patrick's mother and Patrick ultimately standing up for her - and Alex's inept cooking led to an inevitable but still funny botulism joke. This show definitely knows where it's going. The last scene hints at Patrick's mom coming back for Christmas. Is that a promise? Hopefully we'll get to meet Patrick's dad too! Need I mention the prospect of ol' Pat meeting Mr. and Mrs. Baldzikowski? (Perish the thought! )
