Default Sanford

I don't about you all, but I think "Sanford" was just as funny as Sanford and Son, even though they only made 26 episodes. I taped all of them off of BET in 1994. The chemistry between Fred and Cal was great. Aunt Esther made a few guest appearances, as did Rollo and Grady. This series probably won't be seen anymore, but man it was hilarious. I'll never understand why this show never caught on. It was basically a continuation of Sanford and Son.

One of my favorite episodes of Sanford was the one where Fred wanted to take his girlfriend to an expensive resturant in Beverly Hills. He only has 34.00 and she calls the resturant and tells to not let the bill to come more 34.00 and that she would pay the rest on her account. After they eat,she goes to the powder room. He overhears a man on the next table count the bill outloud to over $100. Fred asks him: $100? What did you eat? The Nixon tapes? When his girlfriend returns and finds out that he knows there was a mistake with the check, she says she has to go back to the powder room and Fred tells her:You have enough powder on your nose to make biscuits! Very funny episode.

Remember when the couple next to him gets up, Fred goes "That ain't your daughter". Fred really wanted to eat at his favorite place: Rosco's Rib Shack on Rodondo. Hilarious episode!!
