Yes, I know. In fact, I've figured that you can fit an average of 16 half-hour eps without commericals on a 6 hour tape, but still there's not TOO many more that I want so don't worry

I don't know where you learned math but they are usually 25 minutes or so and multiplied by 16 is 400 minutes, and the tape is only 360 minute with a little extra sometimes like 5 to ten minutes. I figure maybe 14!

Nope! 12 if you include commericials, and 16 if you don't. The episodes themselves are not 25 minutes either, they are 21-22 minutes in length. Trust me, I do alot of taping, and know this well by now, and it doesn't involve math, so you needn't insult my math skills...

You even have a few extra minutes left on the tape with 16!

If you're arguing this to try and get out of making me the tape, just let me know! Just also remember that I DID offer to pay whoever makes me the tape, so...

Yeah, well, maybe you should do that. I am paying for the blank tapes and the postage and spending hours making the copies, so when someone is nice enough to say, make me a tape, fine, but when i'll have to search to find all the specific ones you requested, and sit there and edit all the commercials to fit more on a tape, that's a bit much. My offer stands though for a tape, with all the Viv Here's Lucy appearances, those i have more or less together and i would gladly try and find other Here's Lucy you would like, but because i am not being paid for these i don't want it to be a chore, do you understand? I wasn't insulting your math skills, i was venting, i've had only one other person who drove me nuts changing her request repeatedly and making my offer a job and then she dissapeared from the boards, so that's why i was angry at your request, i'm sorry. I pay an average of 30 bucks a week to keep Lucy's legacy alive and i've always liked your posts so i offered to make that tape for you, but i forgot the people on this board can be a little rough sometimes, me included, sorry again.

Look, I don't want to fight. All I know is that I was looking for someone to copy the Viv episodes for me for months on here, and you finally came through and offered to do it for free, which I still appreciate. However, you are the one that offered to do more episodes, and I don't appreciate you trying to make me feel as if it's putting you out, or as if I'm mooching them off of you or something, because I'm certainly not that kind of person. I am simply a fan of Lucy, and want to enjoy more of her work than just I Love Lucy. So, if you're offer still stands for doing the Viv eps and a few more for free, great, but if you're wanting me to now pay because I requested more than you bargained for, I'd have to think about it...how much are you talking? I really don't have alot of extra money right now...

Once again, sorry for driving you nuts or putting you out or whatever, I wasn't trying to do either...I'm also sorry if I asked for too many extra episodes, but I mean I only asked for like one per season, if that - which is hardly extravagant...anyway, just email me about this - you should have gotten one from me a few days ago...

Ok, let's talk, i'm not angry anymore, had a three day weekend to rest. I started offering tapes to people i like who are REAL Lucy fans and the reason i was doing it was because i have some rare OLD stuff of hers taped twenty years ago and i wanted the best fans to get copies before they wear out. So, after a while of doing that, MY COPIES are starting to show some wear, which bothers me. I saw you wanted those Viv eps and the guy that gave me those put the Viv ones together, more or less, so i didn't mind doing those. Then, i asked you what else you wanted on there, thinking i would put on my old priceless stuff for the remaining three hours or so, but instead you got specific about which eps you wanted and would get back to me. Please understand that i would NEVER charge a fellow Lucy Fan for anything of Lucy's, never have, never will. I am 15 people behind now with tapes and have less and less time to do them because i can't resist offering the people i like more and more tapes. Leos never know when to stop. I apologize for the misunderstanding, totally my fault, you're right, i'm the one that said WHAT ELSE WOULD YOU LIKE? Not thinking that you would ask for 16 eps without commercials that i will have to go through seven tapes trying to find each one. Lemme check how difficult it would be to put the ones you asked for on a tape. You surely understand that if someone says, give me three Lucy movies, you put one on, go to work, come back at lunchtime and put the second one on, then when you get home you put the third on and you're done, that i like. Going through seven tapes trying to find the ones you want and edit commercials and try and fit everything on ONE tape, that's a different story. But i will gladly put the first ones you asked for on there and check to see what i can do abbout the others. You see, i only have two thirds of The Lucy show and two thirds of here's Lucy myself and am trying to get the rest the same as you. However, when someone wants copies of the specials or news the day Lucy died or tributes or Lucy at the TV Hall of Fame or Oscars, then, that's mroe my specialty, sorry about being so difficult myself, we Leos are not picnic to deal with.

Not to trump this back up, but again, you are trying to make this sound like a huge hassle to you. I never specifically asked for the episodes to be done without commercials - I only said that to be considerate of the money you have to spend on tapes. If you want to do them with commercials to save time, and have more than 1 tape, then who am I to tell you no? It's just up to you and what you have time for. Again, I appologize for this whole ordeal. I just want the Viv episodes and whatever else I asked for, that you have time for. Period. Don't get the impression that I'm walking all over you...I'm really not

Of course you're not, i'm the one that's going through h*** because in the past week i was contacted by Paul Brownstein Productions who very politely and nicely asked me to stop making copies of Here's lucy, that's why you haven't heard from me since. They want to protect their investment, i understand that, they are FINALLY bringing out 24 eps of the show on DVD in the spring and want to make sure nobody is duplicating them which i fully undertsand. I was just trying to get material that is NOT available to Lucy's biggest fans and Mr Brownstein even acknowledged that fact in his PM to me, whihc i thought was very considerate under the circumstances. He will also soon have The Lucy specials which is also great news for all of us Lucy fans! All i want is for all of us fans to have access to all her great material, not just the one or two TV series. She had 76 movies, over 500 tv shows and dozens of specials and guest shots and talk shows and game shows and documentaries and so much more than the one tv series everybody knows by heart!

OK....so you're saying you can't make the tape for me at all then??? There's no way this guy could ever totally stop people from buying and trading anyway, just so they have to get the expensive DVDs...
