I loved Bette Midler's show that got cancelled in the 2000/2001 season. My favorite episode was the Halloween one with Dolly Parton.

I never saw the show, but I remember it, and I remember reading somewhere that it was actually pretty good, and was getting good ratings. But, Bette Midler decided she didn't want to do it anymore because it turned out to be harder to do than it seemed.

I started watching 'Bette' halfway through it's run- it was a fantastic show, Bette Midler has a unique comic ability- I saw the Dolly Parton one where Bette dressed as Dolly and smashed someones window-it was hilarious. I hoep she tries again at doing a sitcom- or picks this one back up again.

I'm glad to hear she will be in the new film "The Stepford Wives" coming out summer 2004 with Nicole Kidman & Faith Hill.
