With roughly 7 months between the releases of seasons 1 and 2, Cheers fans were expecting another long wait for season 3. Surprise! Paramount Home Entertainment told us earlier today that we can expect season 3 to be released in May, a mere 4 months after the release of the second season. We're not sure of the exact date, but we're narrowed it down to 4 possibilites: 4, 11, 18 or 25th (yes, we know that's every Tuesday in May).

Also released on the same day will be Frasier: Season 3.

With the original DVD release of Quantum Leap - The Pilot Episode being long out-of-print, fans of the show have longed for Universal Home Entertainment to bring the beloved series back to DVD in season sets.

We knew something was in-the-works last November, when reports surfaced that Deborah Pratt - who was heavily involved in the show - had mentioned in an interview that she was called in to do some work on the new home video version.

Now the waiting is over, and the countdown to the street date begins. This morning, Universal Home Video announced that Quantum Leap - Season 1 will make the leap home on June 8th. The nine hours of programming that made up the rookie season - including the pilot episode "Genesis" from the out-of-print item - will arrive on 2 dual-sided DVDs, at a $59.98 SRP.

Right now details are thin, with no details on the specs, no extras mentioned so far (though we're sure there will be some, since Ms. Pratt participated on the release), and no cover art to show you yet. Still, it's great to know that Sam, Al, and Ziggy will be coming back home this summer, in one of the most-requested releases here at the site (in the top 10!). Stay tuned, and we'll be back just as soon as Universal circulates the remaining information about this box set.

I got rid of most of the "W.R" around her belt..I messed up on the loop part (where the buckle goes through the metal thingy), so I fixed it the best I could. Not bad, I even fixed the white line that was running through her left side. :lol:

I completely beat Super Mario World for the first time. It wasn't a difficult game. I mean it was when I was little. I didn't know that there were 96 courses (actually level endings) because there was no internet in my house in the early 1990s and couldn't look it up. Plus I hadn't played it during 1996-February 2004. I was disappointed. All there is is a 96 and a star next to it. It's odd, it took literally months, maybe even over a year, to get to Bowser the first time around when I was in elementary school and I did it in a couple of hours over two days.

It wasn't easy to get where I did. My Super Nintendo is over 12 years old and if I don't handle it right, it will erase games by itself. It happened twice, the second time occuring when I had several levels on the Special World to go to get the full 96. The other time happened when I was done with the Forest of Illusion.

My favorite jeans from 5th grade I accidently wrote all over for when I was a hippie for Halloween, I got them confused with the pair I really wanted to write on. I was so pissed off when I found out but by then it was too late.

I agree, I think once the 2010's get here I won't miss the 2000's. Even though it seems far away it's going to be here in no time. Just the other day my friend was telling me how we're going to be 30 in 12 years. :eek: I never thought of it like that and I don't want to.

Yeah, it's still way too early. Seems like I'll miss more of the 90s than this part of the decade, but I know what you mean. Between '90 and '94 - those were pretty good years. But then I was between 16 and 20. :lol:

Well I still consider it 12 years for me since I've only been 18 for 3 months.

I hated 2000 but I guess when you have 6 people you know die in a span of 7 months, you just want that year to be done and over with. I think I've enjoyed 2003 the most of this decade.

I miss the early part of the 90's, though...and I've been getting nostalgic about 1994 now, though. That was the year a lot of my fave (kid) movies came out... The Flintstones, Casper (live-action), etc...and going off to 1993...Free Willy, Cool Running, etc...(Cool Running was one of the last John Candy movies I saw when he was still alive, and I saw that in theaters :eek: )

Me, too! My old best friend and I would go swimming all day long, from sun up till sun down, then we'd hop on our bikes and go up and down this dirt road. Saturday nights, we'd hang out in her backyard and watch the late shows with a pile of covers on the couch and snacks. For us, that was all we needed. She had a 7-11 a few minutes from her house and we'd ride down there to get slurpies. The simplest of things were the most enjoyable.

Sounds just like my life. There were all of these dirt paths way behind my school that went underneath power lines and stuff and we would sometimes ride our bikes through there thinking we were such rebels, riding beneath power lines. :lol:

Yeah I think The Santa Clause came out when I was in 3rd grade which would be 1994. When did The Lion King come out? That was the first movie I ever saw in the theater.

Oh man...you just got me started on something else too. I couldn't do much biking when I was a kid, due to the fact we lived in a really hilly area. :o

But, there was this apartment building across the street from where I used to live, and there was a boy just about my age that used to love torturing me with gross stuff. :rolleyes: :lol: Once, he tortured me with a turtle....I was SO frightened when he cornered me with it, so I darted out and ran for home. :lol:

NBC used to have great game shows on weekday mornings. I used to watch them during summer vacations. NBC has really gone down the drain.:(

My girlfriends and I used to go walking every afternoon if we weren't out swimming. Well, one day we met a neighbor's grandson and soon, we were all friends. A few houses down from my grandparents stood an old house that had been abandoned for years. He dared us to walk up to the front door. I did it, only to have him sneak up behind me and yell, "BOO!!" Scared the daylights outta me. :eek:

I would always watch The Price is Right and Family Feud with my grandma in the afternoon. My favorite game was Plinko and if I wasn't in the room when it came on she would yell, "Plinko!" and I'd come running.

I can't recall any more stories like that...There WAS the time I fell down when I was 5 years old and had to get stitches. I still have the scar -- just above my left eyebrow. I fell facedown over nothing on the sidewalk, broke my glasses in half and split my eyebrow open...I had to get 3 stitches. I can STILL remember screaming and crying in pain when they were stitching me up...I don't recall them giving me anthesia (sp?). It REALLY hurt. :o :lol:

I can't recall any more stories like that...There WAS the time I fell down when I was 5 years old and had to get stitches. I still have the scar -- just above my left eyebrow. I fell facedown over nothing on the sidewalk, broke my glasses in half and split my eyebrow open...I had to get 3 stitches. Definately so! All the tv shows looked a lot different then. Seems like the colors were brighter.

I was in 7th grade, and the middle school I attended was built in the 1930's, so it was very Art Deco on the inside....including actual marble stairs. :eek: Anyhoo, it was one day in the spring just two weeks before school ended, and it'd been drizzling all day...I was wearing my new sandals...I came in from outside, went to my locker, got my stuff and went upstairs to my science room to drop off my stuff and headed back downstairs to go outside again (this was during lunch hour)...The stairs were really weird, it was made to look like a spiral staircase, but square-style. OKAY...I went down those stairs and completed two flights...then I got to the final flight and had taken about 3 steps when I lost my footing and fell down the (SHARP MARBLE!) stairs...I landed on my butt on the floor after the last step, and screamed bloody murder...Luckily, the stairs just happened to be by my World Geography teacher's room, and I had the BIGGEST crush on him. :faint: So, he heard me screaming in pain and came out to help me...HE WALKED UP TO ME, GOT ON HIS KNEES AND OFFERED ME HIS HAND! :biglove: I swear, I was just about to pass out right there...I put mine in his, and he pulled me to my feet and offered to walk me to the office so I could tell the secretary what had just happened. :loveya:

Freshman year.. when I found out he'd attended the same high school 12 years before, I made a point to find him in the old yearbooks my journalism teacher kept in his classroom. He was on the football team, so obviously he was popular. He didn't look any different! I mean, it was as if he was still that 17 year old. :lol:

When he handed out tests, a few of us girls in the back of the classroom used to watch him as he made his way to the front of the classroom.

:lol: so were mine. Half of them had white hair, the other half were becoming old but still had their normal hair color...My youngest teacher was 24 and my oldest teacher was 73. :lol:

The 73 year old is now almost 79 and STILL teaching. :eek:

Yea I had some young teachers in Elementary school but in high school and Junior high they seemed to be older.

During the 2nd semester, my desk was RIGHT next to his desk (as in I could put my elbow on one corner of his desk and prop up my head on the hand resting on his desk). *sigh* He was sooooo hot. :eyes: :biglove:

He was, unfortunately, not from around those parts, so there were no local yearbooks to look for his pictures in, except the three yearbooks when he'd been teaching. :o
