Yet another wonderful character discussion by Lauren. :D
In my television experience, I have always found Maddie Hayes to be one of the most well-developed characters I’ve ever seen. There was such a mixture of feelings and personalities that would be revealed as the years went on and the character progressed.
When she first walked into the Blue Moon Detective Agency, Maddie stunned the employees with her beauty…exactly what she didn't want to do. As we later discover, Maddie’s main goal in life is to be seen for who she is, not what she looks like. She needed people in her life who would appreciate her intelligence and business sense, not just her appearance.
And isn’t is ironic how she falls for a guy whose posture toward beautiful women is just the opposite of what she believes? :p
