Here's my new Fan Fic! I hope you enjoy!!!!!

Nate after and evening of looking for CD, finally found her at Liz's.
He called for an ambulance, and they whisked her and Liz off to the hospital.

Nate waited anxiously in the waiting room for hours, and finally the doctor came out.

"Well, how is she?" Nate jumped out of his seat and looked at the doctor.

"Are you a relative?" the doctor asked

"No, but I'm her police partner." Nate replied

"Fine, well, um, Liz seems to be doing fine, but CD on the other hand......."

"What? what? For God's sake tell me!!!" Nate grabbed the doctor by his collar.

"sir, I know you're upset, but please put me down." Nate looked down, and the doctors feet were dangling.

"oops, sorry. now please, tell me!!!" Nate placed the doctor down.

"Well, Mz. DeLorenzo is on life support, and I think it's time you start making your goodbyes"

Yeah, she's basing it on that movie, but I'm sure that she's going to have a happy ending. ;) :D...........

yeah more and she better not die, or I think you might have so me people out for your life too. hehehe j/k And if Liz lives and she dies, ohhhhhh that would suck! lol And that song ROCKS! lol Little Moments! I too replace it with CD! lol I thought I was the only one hehehehe

yeah when i saw Full Moon for the THIRD time, lol, i was like that is SO Little Moments!! hehe


and o no!! i hated the ending to that movie, so it BETTER not end like that, or ur gonna get it! :mad: :mad:

Don't worry, I'll make it sweet :)

Nate looked like hell. He stared at the doctor with a "Cary-Grant-in-Arsenic-and-old-lace" look, and ran into CD's room. He stopped dead in is tracks, and stared at CD. She was laying there on the hospital bed, with her eyes closed, hooked up to a whole bunch of wires. He heard the beep every few seconds of her heart.
beep....beep....beep....beep....
"I'm glad it's still beating" he thought to himself
Nate knelt besides her bed, and started crying. "Oh, CD, I love you so much!!! Please don't die!!! PLEASE!!!!" He burried his head in his hands and started bawling. After a few minutes, he lifted his head.
"CD, I remember, since the first day i saw you, I knew there and then that you are special. It only took me a few weeks to relize i loved you. A few more daysm I relized I loved you as more than a friend. Then, after that, I knew you were the one for me. That's why, when we were in that old synagogue, I was willing to die for you. If I could, now I'd trade places with you so that I could lay there in that hospital bed, and you go on living, be an inspector, get married to a guy that treats you like the princess you are. If only I could trade with you."
Nate sat there with his hands up to his face, tears streaming down his cheeks.
"Nate?"
Nate turned and looked. Jinny put a hand on his shoulder.
"Hey, I know it's been a long night, why don't you let me take you home."
"NO! I'm staying here with her. Till her heart takes that last beat, even if it takes 10 years" Nate replied, crossly, but still with a load of sadness in his voice.
"Nate, really, I think it would be best.."
"No!" Nate cut her off "what would be best was if this never happened. Now I'm staying! You can leave if you like. but I'm not."
"Ok, fine!" Jinny walked out to the hallway, and came back in a few seconds later.
Jinny pulled up a chair next to Nates, and sat down. They sat in silence, just listening to the machines running.
After a few minutes a member of the hospital staff came in, pushing two roll-away beds.
"what are these for?" Nate asked.
"well, if you're staying, I want you to be comfortable, and i don't want you to be alone, so I'm staying too." Jinny gave a tiny smile.
Jinny set up one of the beds right next to CD's, and another one accross the room.
"Here, I want to be here for you, but I also don't want to be in your way." Jinny told Nate.
"thanks, Jinny, you're a real friend."
"No problem." Jinny walked accross the room, and sat down on her bed.
"hmm, these aren't the most comfortable things, are they?" Jinny asked.
Nate just shrugged.
"hey, did ya here the one about the guy in the pub with three beers.."
"listen, Jinny, if you're trying to cheer me up it's not working." Nate interupted.
"ok, well, I'm gonna go out and get us some coffee." Jinny walked out.
"Yeah, thanks." Nate called after her.
Nate grabbed CD's hand, and held it to his cheek. "I'll be here for you. I'm never gonna leave you"

awwwwwwwwww!!! that was soooo sweet of Nate!!!!! And Jinny was really great too!!!!! Can't wait for more!!!! :)

Oh this fic is going preety well, keep going!

Awww, I just wanted to cry when I read Nate pouring his heart out to her! I love this, post more soon!

Nate sat in the hospital room, and Jinny walked in a little while later holding two coffees. She handed one to him.He took a sip, and stood up.
"what is this?" he asked
"it's a double malted mint chocolate with whipped cream and rasberry sprinkles mocha." Jinny smiled.
"Well, I'm kidding ya. I traded ours. Here, this one is the plain old coffee one." Jinny handed a coffee to him.
"thanks." Nate said, still with the I-just0drank-lemon-juice look on his face.
"sheesh, goof. get that look off your face." Jinny laughed.
"ok" Nate took a sip of his drink.
"Ah...... that's good." Nate sat back down.
"congratulations Jinny." Nate said
"what?" Jinny asked.
"Well, you got my mind off my troubles for a few minutes." Nate said.
"that's good. I hope you won't worry too much...." Jinny started to say.
"too much about what? whether or not my future wife is gonna die? Yeah, that's all I worry about" Nate said
"ok. well, if you need anything, I'll be right here." Jinny sat down right next him.
"Jinny.... do you think she'll be ok. I mean, well, the doctor said to say our goodbyes, but I can't help but think.......... well, I don't know." Nate said.
"well, I hope to God she'll be ok. I mean, I can't imagina a world without her." Jinny said.
"Really? you guys didn't seem that close."
"well, no. But I always really looked up to her. She always seemed to have it all together, and I didn't." Jinny looked around the room.
"Jinny. I need to get some shut eye....." Nate started to say.
"Sure, I'll stay up for ya. And wale you if anything changes." Jinny re assured him.
Nate laid down and closed his eyes. The next thing he knew Jinny was yelling.
"Nate! Nate! wake up! now!"

Why was Jinny yelling? That's because CD woke up????RIGHT??? RIGHT???? ARGHHHHHHHHH!!!!!! Post more!!!!:D

and you stopped WHY?!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL, get back here and give me more!!! :)

Knowing Jinny I have a feeling she is just messing with his head..who knows. Post more soon so we can find out:):)

Nate jumped out of bed, and rubbed his eyes.
"what, Jinny........ oh my GOD!!!!" Nate started screaming.
"No! please God, no!" Nate started crying
the heart moniter went dead, CD had passed away.
The doctors and Nurses came rushing in. Nate grabbed one of them.
"Can't you do anything? Do something! Please! any money, I'll pay anything!" Nate screamed.
"Sorry, this is in the Lord's hands now. I can't do anything. But I'm very sorry for your loss" The doctor said
"yeah, right. like you care." Nate was so sad, he didn't care what he said.
Jinny took Nate's hand.
"c'mon. I'll take you home. We'll come back in the morning. Nothing good can come from us staying here." Jinny said
Nate reluctantly turned away and walked out. In the car on the way home, Jinny drove, and Nate sat in the passenger seat and cried.
"Do you know what I regret the most?" Nate asked
"what?" Jinny asked

"that I never got to say goodbye." Nate said
"don't be silly. you did every thing you could. If you had said goodbye, she wouldn't have heard you anyway." Jinny said
"Does that matter now? God, she's gone, and no words that you say are gonna make me feel better!" Nate said, tears streaming down his face.
"Yes, I know. I was that way when my mom died." Jinny started to cry now too.
Jinny pulled up in front of Nate's apartment.
"do you want me to come in with ya?" Jinny asked.
"No, I'll be okay. Thanks though." Nate got up and walked inside. Jinny waited until she knew he was in his apartment, then she pulled away, tears starting to come more frequently.

What are you doing, Deirdre? Oooh, good, you're sleeping now and I know your password, I can go and edit that post.....hehe...;) j/k.

Okay, i just changed my password, lol I thought that would be in my best interest. And, after y'all read my final installment here, you'll relize WHY I had CD die. :)

Nate sat in his apartment late that night thinking.
"If only I'd gone with her to the hospital, if only I had figured out she was at Gina's earlier. If only I was physic" He was saying to himself. Then, he didn't know why, he found himself praying
"God? Are you there? Well, I know I'm not the praying type, and I don't really know what to say. Actually, I should be as mad as hell at you for taking away from me the only reason I take each breath, but anyway, this is my last hope. So I'll just come out and say it.
I'll do ANYTHING you want from me if you do something to bring her back. Anything, you name it. If you want me to donate all my money the some over seas mission, I'll do it. It's just that, oh, God, please!!!!! I'll do anything!!!! PLEASE! I BEG YOU" Nate looked up, and he was sitting at his desk at work, and he noticed his computer.
It said the time and date of the afternoon before CD got shot.
Then he noticed a message blinking on his screen:

You have one chance

Nate rubbed his eyes and looked at it again.
"what the heck....." he thought.
Then out of the corner of his eye he noticed some one walk up to him.
"hey, Nate, you wanna walk down with me?" Cd asked.
"How did you get here?" Nate asked.
"um, I drove." CD laughed.
"No, I mean, um, shot, hospital, death, messy...." Nate was stammering.
"Um,, are you okay? You don't look to good." CD asked
Then Nate finally figured it out. he had some how gone back into time to fix the problem.
"um, actually, now I'm great!" Nate said.
CD laughed. "I'll never figure you out."
Nate put on his jacket and walked out with her.
When they got put of the elevator CD asked "Nate?"
"yeah?" he answered.
"what are you doin' tonight?" she asked.
"having dinner with you I hope."
"Great. Well, i'm gonna stop by the hospital to visit Gina, so I'll meet you someplace. Where should I meet you?" CD asked
"actually, I think I'm gonna visit Gina with you." Nate walked next to CD
"Nate, I can take care of myself."
"yeah, well I'm gonna come anyway." he winked at her, and put his arm around her shoulders.
"Let's go." Nate said.
And they walked off together, and lived happily ever after :D

Awwwwww, I LOVED THAT ENDING!!! Gosh, how many times have I wished that Nate had really gone with CD that night. :( The storyline would be 1000 times better then. I loved this fic. It was excellent.
