View Full Version : snowstorm on the East Coast...again Nanny Fine 02-03-2004, 01:16 PM another day of no school/no work. It sleeted all night, we've gotten 8 inches of snow since 6 this morning with freeing rain and more snow through the afternoon. This has been one of the worst winters I remember in a long time. It's supposed to start around 3 and go all night till about 4:30. I'm staying home tomorrow. PZelda 02-03-2004, 01:26 PM Yep. According to one of the newspapers out here (I live in the Midwest), it says this winter for my state is the worst one since the winter of 1995-96. And I remember that winter...it was REALLY bad and REALLY cold. Nothing compared to 1996-97, though. 95-96 was REALLY REALLY REALLY cold and 96-97 got a LOT of snow - we had 9 blizzards that winter and missed 10+ days of school. That resulted in us having to make up school on Saturdays for the reminder of the school year therafter. :eek: I just hope all this crap out in the east coast clears up soon!
