vashti1999 02-02-2004, 12:12 PM I might have to wait til I watch all the episodes on the dvd set to refresh my memory of episodes I'd forgotten, but off the top of my head, the most memorable one is "The Gang" with J.J getting shot and James snapping those pretzel sticks, then taking pity on Maddog.
Jrnygrl 02-02-2004, 07:22 PM The Gang and the Houseguest! These two are great. When James takes the spoon from Eddie that was funny, and when he took him into the bedroom to spank him and Eddie tried to escape!
Also from the Gang, interaction between Thelma and Maddog:
"My mother took one look at me and named me Thelma, just like your mother looked at you and named you Maddog." props:
Oh also in this episode Lynn Hamilton does a great job as Maddog's mother.
Does anyone know who played Maddog???
The other episodes are great too!
Lady T 02-03-2004, 11:36 PM Now I cannot wait to receive the Second Season DVD..The Gang episode sounds great and it is interesting to know that actress Lynn Hamilton of Sanford and Son fame was in an episode of Good Times...:)
My favorite episode of Good Times the Second Season is The Dinner Party. I saw that episode last night it was so funny  when the evans elderly friend comes to dinner and she brings the main course which they the evans family all think is dog food :happyface

Oh that is so funny! when everyone keeps passing the meatloaf around, and Wilona comes over and finds out who brought the meatloaf.
Great episode!

vhshunter 02-09-2004, 11:53 PM The Windfall

The Windfall
I like the statement for from the Reverend in that episode, "THE OLD WRONG OR THE NEW RIGHT"-LOL
vashti1999 02-10-2004, 01:33 AM Aside from "The Gang", my favorite episode from disc 2 of season 2 is "The Nude" with James doing that shy "heh heh heh" laugh he does around that woman JJ was painting.
AtlantaBravesFan29 02-10-2004, 05:12 PM Definitely "The Windfall"
vhshunter 02-11-2004, 04:20 AM Not 1 bad episode on disc 3. One that was interesting.
The Enlistment
No Florida in this ep. I liked it with just James & the kids.
Disc 3 these are the classic episodes I remember as a kid. Disc 1 & 2 only has 1 or 2 good episodes, but 3 is all good. THE BEST.
double-t 02-11-2004, 11:46 AM My favorite is "The Nude" I just love the way James laughs when the lady gives him compliments.
What's even more funny is when Florida marks his laugh.
The Dinner Party is another good one--I like the part where Wilona comes in and she gets invited to join the family for dinner but she doesn't have a place to sit and all of them get up to give her their chair.
vashti1999 03-01-2004, 04:11 PM I hadn't noticed before watching it just now that Willona wasn't in part 1 of "The Gang." Those two episodes were what I was most looking forward to seeing again when I got the dvd. My classic lines and moments:
Thelma saying Mad Dog's mother took one look at him as a baby and called him Mad Dog, then telling JJ something was there to see him.
James saying he'll slap a muzzle on Mad-dog.
After Mad Dog says "see you later, old man" the way James says "outside...outside."
And the sympathetic part at the end.
James: Florida, what kind of father am I to feel sorry for the man that shot my son?
Florida: The right kind, James. The right kind
laneyday 03-01-2004, 07:14 PM My favorite second season episode(s) is "Crosstown buses run all day, doodah, doodah" and I have to add "The Dinner Party". Too, too funny!
Fall Back Doggie 03-17-2004, 01:11 PM I'ma go with the Houseguest, I ever saw this one till I got the DVD....

I don't know, it was funny to me, plus it was serious at the same time...I like the episodes where the Evans interact with different people, cause most of the time, it's always something bad, and I like to see how James handles certain problems...plus the Evans men in bed (no homo) scene was hilarious...
catlover79 06-11-2007, 02:08 PM The Dinner Party, hands down. "No, you first!" "The Lord is my GERMAN shepherd"...:brent Too funny.
