CD and Nate were coming back from dinner at their favorite Italian Restaurant. They had decided to go to CD's place since they went to Nate's the last time they went out.

CD: Nate dinner was great, and the company too!

Nate: Same here *he leaned in to give CD a peck on the cheek and it made CD blush a bit*

As they turned the corner CD saw an hipanic looking girl that didn't look more than 13 or 14 sitting/sleeping outside her door.

CD: What the hell who is that.

Nate: What are you talking about?

CD: I'm talking about her *pointing to the young girl in front of her apartment*

Nate: Ohh. Well, maybe we should wake her up and find out who she is and find out why she came here.

*CD agrees and bends down to wake the young girl up*

The Girl: Oh, hey I was wondering if you know who Candace DeLorenzo is? I was waiting for somebody to talk to but no one came and I guess I fell asleep.

CD: Uh, yeah that's me, may I help you?

Girl: Great, could we talk inside a minute.

CD: Yeah sure. *CD, Nate and the mysterious girl went inside CD's apartment, and Nate went to get all three of them some drinks*

CD: So who are you and why are you here looking for me?

Girl: My name is Valerie DeLorezo and I am 14 years old and I have something important to tell you, but I don't now how.

CD: Its okay you can tell me, what's on your mind?

Valerie: okay, I have been doing research on my family while I was in the orphange.it showed that I have and aunt name Candace DeLorenzo. So since that is you, I guess that means I am your niece. I think that I met you when I was 4 years old, but I couldn't quite remember. *some tears started to come out and flow down her cheeks and CD went beside her and put her arm around her*

Nate: I think I better go it looks personal.

CD: Okay I will see you tomorrow then *goes to see Nate out and then returns her attention to Valerie again*

Valerie: Do you recognize me?

CD: At first I didn't, but now I remember you mom coming over to my place so I could see you, you see the reason your mom and I never came over to each other's place or talked much is because we didn't get along that well.

Valerie: Oh, well I was wondering if you could get custody of me and I could live with you, because to tell you the truth I hate it and the orphange.

CD: *coming closer to Valerie* I would love to have you live here since you hate to live at the orphange so much. I will set in appointment with the courthouse so we can get started, Okay.

Valerie: Okay, can we go to bed I am a little tired.

CD: Yeah I am beat myself

The girls went down the hall and went to sleep the night away.

That's all for tonight it is getting late.:o :o






The next morning Valerie woke up to the smell of eggs, toast and bacon. She got out of bed and went into the kitchen to find that CD had made breakfast for the both of them. CD had called the Captain already to tell her she would not be able to come in that morning because of 'personal' reasons, so she decided to spend time with Valerie.

Valerie: *Coming into the kitchen* Wow, this looks great I can't believe you did this for me.

CD: Hey good morning, and I am glad that you like it. I would do anything for you. Hey I was hoping to get to know you better, so I planned a whole day just for us, what do you say.

Valerie: *with enthusiasum* Yeah, that be great!

CD: Great!

After the girls eat their breakfast they both go their stuff together to go out.

(In the car)

CD: What do you want to do today?

Valerie: I really would like to go to a movie.

CD: Great me too! Let's go.

When they reached the movie theater, they got drinks, popcorn and some candy.hehe kind of like me at the movies!!

After they came back from the movie, CD set a day with the courthouse to plan CD's custody of Valerie.

CD: Well, Valerie I set a date next week to go to the courthouse.

Valerie: ALLRIGHT!!

CD: I can see you are excited even though you don't know if you are going to be able to stay with me.

Valerie: Well I am just thinking on the positive side, I mean so far you are great with me and I cannot see why any body would not see that. I do.

CD: Well thankyou. I will be sure to remember that.

Valerie: You're welcome, and you do that. Okay since there will probably going to be a good chance that I will be living with you, what should I call you? Aunt Candace?

CD: My friends and co-workers call me CD and you will hear that all the time, so you can call me CD. Is that okay with you?

Valerie: Yeah, that's fine. So CD it is. *looks at the clock* Oh God I have to go meet someone I will be back at 6:30 I promise.

CD: WAIT A MINUTE! Who are you meeting can I have a number and the place you are going.

Valerie: Yeah sure. *writes some stuff down for CD* Bye

CD: Hey, be back promptly and 6:30 or I am going ou looking and you don't want me to go out looking

Valerie: Alright, alright. I will be back at 6:30 don't worry

CD: Okay have fun

Valerie: okay bye CD

CD: bye Valerie

At 6:30 Valerie came through the door of the apartment as promised. And went into her room to change and then went into the kitchen.

Valerie: *entering the kitchen* Hey CD, I am back and to find you making dinner for me thanks.

CD: Hey. Oh this, it is no big deal. So did you have fun with your friends.

Valerie: Yeah we just hang out at the mall for a while. Um, about the fact that I had to rush out is because I had to go down to the orphanage to tell them that i would be staying with you. Is that okay?

CD: Yeah, that is great!

After the girls talked for a while and had dinner they cleared the dishes and hang out in the apartment for a bit. Soon it got late and the girls went to bed.

Sorry guys for making it so short it is just because I have so little time this weekend to do stuff, but there will be more so hang in there!! :wave:

In the morning Valerie woke up to CD making breakfast again. She got up and walked into the kitchen.

CD: *jumped from be startled by Valerie's voice behind her turned around to face her* Please to say if, you said it yesterday that if anyone couldn't see the great bond that we have that they are blind.

Valerie: Yeah, I guess you have a point there, even though you use my words to make your point. I guess I can take it.

The girls ate there breakfast and head down to the courthouse to see if CD was good enough to take care of Valerie.

CD and Valerie came out of the courthouse with huge smiles on their faces, because CD got to have custody of Valerie.

CD: Well that's great. Anyway, why did you have to go to that orphanage and how old were you.

Valerie: Okay, well it is kinda of a long story you don't mind do you?

CD: No, of course not. I am an inspector I am used to it.

Valerie: Okay. Well my mom and dad had a friend that did time in prison. He got busted for robbery and drunk driving. Well one night I was home alone and my mom called to say that my dad and her were going to run late. Two hours after the call an officer came to the house and told me that they had been in an car accident that it was serious and that all three of them died instantly.

CD: Oh god Valerie I am so sorry you had to loose them that way. *goes over ro comfort Valerie who has started to cry* You know I will never do that to you I will be here foroever and what ever happens I will always be here for you, you have to know that. I love you Valerie and that love will never stop.

Valerie: I don't know what to say, CD that means do much to me when you say that. I had no one say that to me, well, except my parents. Oh yeah, to answer you other question I was nine.

CD: Sorry to change the subject I am hungry and dinner would be nice.

Valerie: I thought you would never ask.

*The girls eat dinner and talked some more until they had to go to bed.*

Early that morning the girls bought paint and and stuff to decorate Valerie's room. (Cd has an apartment where you can paint the rooms LUCKY!!)

Since Valerie's favorite color was purple that is what color she chose.

Valerie: *in the room with CD painting* I just love this color, don't you?

CD: Yeah, I really do. And am so glad that you like it. You know it looks better on the walls then in the can.*looks over to see that Valerie is doing a better job then she is at the painting*Hey, how are you so good at painting?

Valerie: I used to help paint the rooms at the orphanage.

CD: Oh, well you are really doing a good job

Valerie: Thank-you, I am also thinking of becoming an Interior Designer someday and I'll need all the practice I can get.

CD: Really, that's great. And I think you will make a great one, you are doing a great job over there. *just as CD was going to say something else there was a knock on the door* I'll be right back. *leaves*

CD:*opening the door to reveal Nate with a bouquet of flowers* Hey you.

Nate: Hey you yourself. Here these are for you *extends the flowers toward CD*

CD: Thank you they are beautiful. *opens the door wider so Nate can come in* So what are you doing here?

Nate: I just wanted to see how you and Valerie were doing and say hi. By the way where is she I wanted to give her a congrats for being able to live with you.

CD: Awwww Nate that is sweet. She is in the bed room painting her new bedroom

*Just before Nate could go into the bedroom they here a crash followed by Valerie scream*

Nate&CD: OH God

*They ran into the bedroom like the speed of light*

CD: OH MY GOD!!!

Nate: Oh, I got here before you fell. I came over to give you a congrats on being able to live here with CD.

Nate: okay I am coming, but I was wondering if you would like to go to dinner with me, I have something important to ask you and I really need an answer to this one.

You are a wonderful woman and I love you so much.*He pulls a box out of his pocket and opens it to reveal the most beautiful diamond ring you will ever see in you life* Candace DeLorenzo will you please be my wife?

CD: *at this point she had tears running down her face but she manged to say* YES OF COURSE I WILL MARRY YOU! *When she said that the whole restaurant clapped* I love you, Nathan Basso.

Nate: I love you too Candance DeLorenzo *And then the kissed like their was no tomorrow*

After dinner they both went home to spend a evening to celebrate the occassion.

*They had the best reception. Everyone dance and gave their congrats to the newlywed couple. And after the reception Nate and CD road off in a limo to their honeymoon in Big Sur.
