Ok I started a new fic...tell my what you think...:D

Two years had passed since CD left. No one had seen or heard from her. During the first couple of months everyone figured she just needed some time to think about things, and then she would be back. But as time went by, it became obvious she was never coming back.

Nate was now engaged to his ex-wife Molly. They had seen each other at a high school reunion and began dating. Old feelings had returned, so they decided to give it another shot. Nate still thought about CD, but he was over her. He spent the first few months being mad. Then he was sad for awhile. Eventually he realised he was never going to be with her, so he moved on with his life. He and Molly had a house and were talking about a family. He was happy, or atleast he thought he was.

CD was now a guidence counsler at a high school. Not something she ever pictured herself doing, but it paid the bills. She did enjoy helping the kids though. Her love life hadn't exactly been that great the past two years either, but things were looking up. She was now seeing a guy who she really liked. He was really handsom and had a great job. He treated her like a princess too. She still thought about Nate as well. She couldn't stand herself for what she did to him. The note she left was just a lie. She didn't leave him because of he reminded her of the job, she left him because it was moving so fast and she thought he would just break her heart like all the other men in her life. She of course later realised how dumb she was. Nate would never do that, but by that time she thought it was too late to go back to him. So she started dating again.

Nate was woken early one morning by his fiance'.
Molly:"Morning baby..."
Nate:"hey..." he mumbled
Molly:"time for work...get up..."
Nate:"give me five more minutes..."
Molly:"nope...breakfast is waiting..." she smiled and kissed his cheek...
Nate:"fine...Im up..."
He groaned and got out of bed. This was a typical morning since he and Molly had gotten together.She was your regular little house wife, always did everything for him, cooked everynight, ect.
He had a shower and got dressed. He went downstairs where Molly had everything waiting for him. He sat down and started to eat.
Molly:"sooo..." she grinned at him from the other side of the table.
Nate:" sooo?..."
Molly:"you gonna catch bad guys today?" she grinned
Nate:"well I AM a cop..." he shoved some pancakes in his mouth.
Molly giggled and got him a napkin.
Molly:"Im gonna go do some shopping today, and then work some more on the wedding plans."
Nate:"Molly I told you I just want to get married at city hall."
Molly:"but Nate!....I have always wanted a big wedding!"
Nate:"you had a big wedding the first time we were married!."
Molly:"well I want another big wedding!" she protested
Nate:"fine. whatever." he got up and grabbed his coat. He kissed Molly goodbye and left.

He walked into the bullpin. Raina was already at her desk looking at a file. She looked up and smiled when she saw him walk in but then frowned.
Raina:"why the long face?"
Nate:"it's Molly. All this wedding stuff is driving me crazy."
Raina:"why?"
Nate:"she wants this big wedding. We have already did that once. whats the point of doing it again?"
Raina:"I don't know" Raina shrugged, she didn't care for Molly too much anyway, but she would never told Nate that.
Nate:"well anyway...most marriages end in divorce.so whats the point of going all out again?"
Raina:"if you feel that way Nate, do you think you should get married?"
Nate:"yeah...I mean we love each other...it's just...I don't know..."
Raina just gave him a re-asurring smile and told him about the case.

CD had gotten to the school late that morning. She quickly went to the front office to get her mail. The principal came out.
Principal:"Did you hear about what happend last night?"
CD:"no...what happend?" she asked confused
Principal:"Melanie Johnson was killed."
CD:"Oh my God!, what happend?" she asked shocked
Principal:"She was stabbed to death."
CD:"that is awful.Do they know who did it?"
Principal:"no. The police are investigating it. Actually, they are sending a couple inspectors up here to question some of the students and teachers. Oh and you too."
CD:"ok. I'll be in my Office then."
CD went to her office and pulled up Melanie's file. She really missed being a cop. Sometimes she contimplated going back, but the students really liked her and she didn't want to leave them.

Nate and Raina arrived to the High School a few hours later.
Nate:"we should probably talk to the Principal first. Then the Guidence Counsler."
Raina:"yeah."
they walked to the Principals office first. She told them Melanie never came to her office, so she didn't know much about her.
Principal:"Mrs. DeLorenzo's office is right down that hall" she told them and returned to a student she had been scolding.
Raina:"Mrs. Delorenzo. Isn't that funny?"
Nate:"Not really." Nate groaned
They arrived to the office and Nate knocked on the door.
CD:"Come on in." she said and hung up the phone.She couldn't believe what she saw.
Raina:"CD!" she exclaimed. Nate just stood in shock. CD got up to hug them both. She hugged Raina first.
CD:"wow you look great!"
Raina:"thanks. You look good too!"
CD then turned to Nate.
CD:"Nate..." she smiled
Nate:"CD.." he smiled back and hugged her.
CD:"how are you?"
Nate:"good. Guidence Counsler?"
CD laughed a little.
CD:"yeah. It's great though."
She told Nate and Raina to sit down. She handed them Melanie's file.
CD:"she was a good kid. She didn't have the best grades. But she got along well with everyone."
Nate:"do you know who she hung out with? Her boyfriends?"
CD nodded and wrote all the names she could think of. They talked some more about the case. It felt just like old times. CD was impressed at how much mature Raina was. She had also grew into a really great cop.
Raina:"hey, you wanna come have lunch with us? Catch up on old times?"
CD:"I don't know, Im really busy"
Nate:"come on. We would like to know what you have been up to." he smiled
CD:"ok, let me get my coat."

The three of them drove to Anchorside.
CD:"wow this place looks different!" CD said as they sat down at a table.
Raina:"yeah they re-did the place. um, Im gonna run over to the station and see if Jinny and Magda wanna eat with us too"
CD:"ok." CD smiled glad to see all her old friends again.
Raina left and Nate and CD sat in an ackward silence. CD finally spoke up.
CD:"Nate, about me leaving like I did...."
Nate cut her off.
Nate:"listen, I really don't care." he said rather rudely
CD:"fine...I just thought you would like an explanation." she said back rudely
That sat in silence for a few more minutes.
Nate:"so, how have you been?"
CD:"fine. really busy with my job. You?"
Nate:"I have been really good. Im engaged" he wanted to act like she didn't even matter to him anymore, but in reality, he just wanted to lean over and kiss her.
CD:"oh, Congratulations. To Lilly?" she asked feeling like someone just put a knife in her heart.
Nate laughed
Nate:"no. She is married to some rich guy in New York. Im engaged to Molly, my ex-wife."
That made CD hurt even more. She remembered how Nate talked about how great she was and how shouldn't have let it slip away.
CD:"thats nice..." was all she could get out

Raina returned with Jinny, Magda, Kate, and Stacy. CD stood up to give her old friends a hug. They all said hello and conplimented CD on how well she looked.
Stacy:"Hi Im Stacy! I have heard all about you." Stacy eagerly
shook CD's hand
CD:"nice to meet you. I hope it was good stuff you heard!" she laughed and they all sat down.
Jinny:"Stacy is a PSA. She came right after you left, and we haven't been able to get rid of her since."
Stacy:"Hey!"
Everyone laughed and Kate spoke up.
Kate:"so where have you been and why haven't you kept in touch!?"
CD:"I became a Guidence Counsler, so I moved near the school. I have would have kept in touch but I have been so busy."
Magda:"how long has it been? A year or so?"
Nate:"two years..." he spoke up
Raina:"it doesn't seem that long."
CD:"I know. Both years passed by so quickly."
The waitress came and they all ordered their lunch.
CD:"so whats been up with you guys?"
They all looked around at each other.
Jinny:"not much here. Still sobor...oh and I have a son."
CD:"a son!?" she asked shocked
Jinny:"yep, he'll be two in a few months."
CD:"whoa. That is really...weird.."
Magda:"well Im divorced now"
CD:"Oh thats awful. How is Ben?"
Magda:"he's good."
Raina:"nothing new with me. single again."
Kate:"I have a Grandaughter now. She is living with me. Along with her sarogat Mother who happens to be my Daughters ex-lesbian lover."
CD:"That interesting.." she laughed and the waitress brought their food.

Everyone ate and talked about old times. Kate and Stacy went back to the Division. Jinny and Magda had a crime scene to visit.
Raina:"Nate I'm gonna run up and speek with the ME before we go talk to Melanie's parents."
Nate:"yeah I should go with you..."
Raina:"No you stay here, Im sure you and CD have alot to talk about." she smirked and left Anchorside.

CD:"so..uh...when's the wedding?"
Nate:"the 15th of April"
CD:"oh..wow..how long have you been engaged?"
Nate:"two months. What about you? You seeing someone?"
CD:"yeah, His name is Jeff. We have been dating a few months."
Nate hated hearing about CD and another guy so he changed the subject.
Nate:"Im planning a suprise party for Raina's 30th birthday. Jinny, Mag, and Stacy are helping. I thought maybe you might want to also. I know Raina would want you to be there."
CD:"oh that sounds great, thanks. When is it?"
Nate:"two weeks..so I don't have much time to plan everything."
CD:"well I would love to help as much as possible."
Nate:"good..We could use your help."
CD:"I better get back to the school, here's my number. Call me and tell me what you need me to do."
Nate:"ok. It was nice to actually see you after two whole years."
CD sighed
CD:"it was nice to see you too.Talk to you later." she gave a forced smile and left.
Nate:"what am I thinking?...Im getting married in three months...I can't still be having these feelings for CD..." he thought to himself.

CD got into her car and sat thinking "what am I thinking?...he is getting married soon...and I have Jeff now...I can't still be having these feelings for Nate"
She drove back to the school and burried herself into work right away.

Raina came back down as Nate was paying his check.
Raina:"ok, talked to the ME. Melanie was stabbed with a kitchen knife. It wasn't very sharp either. They found some fibers but they are still working on those."
Nate:"ok...lets go talk to the parents."
They got into the car and left.
Raina:"so, how did you feel about seeing CD after all this time."
Nate:"weird and awkward..."
Raina:"did she give you a better explaination as to why she left like she did?"
Nate:"she tried but I wouldn't let her. It doesn't matter. Im getting married in a few months."
Raina rolled her eyes
Raina:"yeah...to Molly..."
Nate:"I don't understad why you don't like her."
Raina:"I just don't think she is right for you."
Nate:"well then who is right for me?"
Raina:"you know the answer to that."
Nate:"yeah well I thought that too, but she left me, remember?"
Raina:"I remember. But Im sure she had a good reason."
Nate:"none of this matters Raina. She has a new boyfriend anyway...Jeff"

A couple days later Raina had the day off, so Nate was going to go to the bakery on his lunch break to pick out a cake for her party. Nate went over to Jinny and Magda to ask them to help him pick out the cake.
Nate:"are you two free for lunch?"
Jinny:"Nate, are you asking us out?" Jinny smirked
Nate:"ha ha, actually I am heading down to Johnson's Bakery to pick out a cake for the party."
Magda:"we arleady had lunch. We are just on our way to speak with a witness."
Nate:"oh ok. Thanks anyway."
Jinny:"oh Nate, CD and I got all the balloons yesterday."
Nate:"ok. Good."
Nate smiled and walked out of the bullpin. He saw Stacy exiting the elevators.
Nate:"hey, you think you can come help me pick out the cake for Raina's party?"
Stacy:"sorry Nate, Im really busy right now."
Nate:"damn, everyone is busy."
Stacy:"you can't just pick the cake out by yourself?"
Nate:"Stacy, Im a guy. I have no idea what to get."
Stacy laughed
Stacy:"I gotta run...good luck!"
Stacy walked away and Nate pulled out his cell.
Nate:"hey Babe, it's me"
Molly:"Hey honey!"
Nate:"do you want to ride with me over to Johnson's Bakery to pick out a cake for Raina's birthday party?"
Molly:"Ooh that would be great! We can look at wedding cakes while we are there!"
Nate groaned and saw Kate approaching
Nate:"nevermind. My captain just handed me some work I need to do."
He hung up the phone before she could say anything else.
Nate:"hey Captain, what are you doing?"
Kate:"Im just on my way to lunch, why?"
Nate:"I need someone to help me pick out Raina's birthday cake."
Kate:"I wish I could help but I have a lunch date."
Nate:"Damn.."
Kate:"call CD. Im sure she would love to help you." she smirked
Nate:"why would I call her?"
Kate:"well isn't she helping with the party anyway?"
Nate:"yeah but..."
Kate cut him off
Kate:"call CD..." she smiled and entered the elevator.
Nate went back to his desk and found CD's number. He called her hoping she wouldn't answer. She did answer though.
Nate:"Hey CD, it's Nate."
CD:"oh, hey Nate."
Nate:"do you have plans for lunch?...I need some help picking out Raina's birthday cake."
CD looked over at Jeff who had been waiting to take her to lunch. He had a romantic picnic planned for the two of them.
CD:"no...where should I meet you?"
Nate:"Johnson's Bakery. Do you know where that is?"
CD:"yeah I'll see you there.."
CD hung up and looked at Jeff.
CD:"Im sorry. Something came up."
Jeff:"something more important than the picnic I have been planning for you for two days?"
CD:"yeah. I have to help a friend. It's sort a emergency. Im sorry."
CD left and drove over to the bakery.

When she arrived, Nate was already there. He was looking at some cake designs in a book.
CD:"hey..." she sat down beside him
Nate:"oh hey. thanks for coming."
CD:"no problem" she smiled
Nate:"I have no clue what Im doing here. I do like this cake though." he pointed to a cake design in the book.
CD:"yeah thats nice, but I don't Raina wants a birthday cake with a naked women on it." she giggled
Nate:"yeah you are right. Here, you pick one out." he handed her the book and she looked through it.
CD:"ooh I like this one." she pointed to a picture.
Nate:"yeah I like that too."
They looked at a few more and finally found one they thought Raina would like.
Nate:"so you wanna grab something to eat or do you need hurry back?"
CD:"I should hurry back, but Im really hungry."
Nate:"that little cafe' across the street looks good..."
CD smiled and they walked over to the cafe'.

CD and Nate sat in the cafe' waiting on their food. It was awkward because neither of them knew what to talk about.
CD:"you uhh...are doing a really good job with the party.Raina is going to love it."
Nate:"I hope so.She always throws parties and showers for everyone else. I want this to be nice."
CD:"you never threw me a birthday party!" CD joked
Nate:"hey I tried!..remember? Your thirty-fourth birthday. You got so pissed when you figured out what I was up to."
CD:"oh yeah." she laughed. "we had fun anyway."
Nate:"Yeah. You got so drunk that night."
CD:"hey! I wasn't THAT drunk."
Nate:"yes you were CD, I had to carry you home."
CD:"yeah well, I loved that bar." she laughed
Nate:"I didn't ever tell you this, but I got so jealous when you were dancing with that one guy."
CD:"ewww I actually remember dancing with him! I wouldn't have done that if I was sobor."
Nate:"Im glad." he laughed and they waitress brought their food. "so, I was thinking. We should go see if that bar is still kicking, for old times sake."
CD frowned
CD:"your wife would let you do that?"
Nate:"whoa, hold on a second. She isn't my wife yet. And she doesn't care if I go to a bar every now and then."
CD:"yeah but would she like it if you went with me?"
Nate:"why would she mind? We are just old friends going out for a drink."
CD:"oh..right...I guess that sounds like fun then." It hurt that Nate only thought of her as an old friend.
Nate:"so tonight?"
CD:"ok sure. Meet you there?"
Nate:"ok.."
They finished eating and both returned to work

When CD got home that afternoon, there was a message from Jeff...
"Hey Baby...Im sorry you had to miss the picnic...but its ok...I made plans for us to have dinner..so wear something nice...I'll be over at seven.."
CD sighed and thought to herself..."I shouldn't go to that bar with Nate. We have both moved on and I should not tourchor myself by meeting with him..."

Nate got home at about six and went straight to get dressed to meet CD.
Molly:"where are you going?"
Nate:"out with a friend."
Molly:"Who?"
Nate:"someone I used to work with. Its no big deal. We are just going to have a few drinks and talk."
Molly:"oh ok. Try not to stay out too late." Molly went downstairs to finish her knitting.
Nate looked into the mirror at himself.."Why am I putting myself through this? I am in engaged to Molly. I can't be meeting CD in some bar."

CD paced back and forth until she finally talked herself into meeting Nate. "what harm will it do to meet him at a bar?Its not like it is a date or anything. And I will not meet him anymore after that.". She finished getting dressed and grabbed her coat. She didn't even bother calling Jeff to tell him she wasn't going to dinner with him.

Nate had told himself the same thing CD did. He got dressed and left. When he got to the bar CD wasn't there yet. He sat down and ordered a beer. He looked around the bar and remembered CD's birthday. He really missed those days. When they were partners and he was so in love with her, but she didn't know. He looked up and saw CD enter the bar.

I have a suggestion for the next part.So listen: CD and Nate goes to the bar and then Molly and Jeff come to the same bar as well by accident.Then they see CD and Nate kissing and they both get furious and Molly breaks up with Nate and Jeff with CD.And since Nate was planning on getting married he asks CD to marry him and she says yes.So how does that sound???:lol: :lol: :lol: :D

Nate:"No"
CD:"the place hasn't changed much."
Nate:"yeah not really. Well except for that." Nate pointed to a stage with a poll in the middle.
CD frowned
CD:"it's a strip joint now?"
Barkeep:"yes Ma'am. Show starts in an hour."
CD rolled her eyes.
CD:"oh great."
Nate raised his eyebrows.
Nate:"strippers...yay..."
CD:"Im telling your wife!" she joked
Nate:"hey Im not married YET! I can have alittle fun."
CD:"yeah at your bachlor party!..not at a strip club with your ex-girlfr...uh..partner"
Nate:"Im not having a bachlor party." he frowned
CD:"why?"
Nate:"because I don't want one. I don't want any of that crap. I just want to go to city hall and get it over with."
CD:"thats not very romantic..."
Nate:"we already had a romantic wedding!...well, I guess having a bachlor party and maybe a reception wouldn't be so bad, but not all that other un-nessesary stuff she has planned."
CD:"well then tonight is your bachlor party!" she held up her beer to cheers him. He tapped his beer against hers and they both took a sip.
Barkeep:"did I just hear the word "bachlor party?"
CD:"yep, it's his bachlor party!" she pointed to Nate.
Barkeep:"you brought your fiance' to a strip club for your bachlor party?" he asked confused.
Nate:"she isn't my fiance'. We are old friends. We just wanted to check the place out, but now I guess it's my bachlor party.."
Barkeep:"well in that case, drinks are on the house!"
CD:"oooh yay! Nate, you should get married more often!" she laughed
Nate:"ha ha. This is the last time I hope."
CD hated the fact that Nate was getting married to someone else. But he seemed happy, so she figured she might as well be happy for him. She really missed being his friend. The bar feep brought CD and Nate both a white russian.
Barkeep:"ok...here are your first drinks of the night."
Nate grabbed his and started drinking it.
CD:"I think I should just stick with beer."
Nate:"come on! A couple drinks won't be so bad. Besides, it's my bachlor party!"
CD:"fine. But don't let me drink too much."
CD started to drink her's as well. The bar keep looked at his watch.
Barkeep:"the show should be starting soon, it you two want to go sit in the front."
CD looked around the bar.
CD:"I think Im the only women in this place who doesn't work here."
Nate:"I think you are" he laughed "come on, let's go sit in the front."
CD:"no way! Im staying back here."

By the time the show had started, CD had decided that one more drink wouldn't hurt...and then one more after that...and then another after that. Eventually she started taking shots of liqour. Nate tried to stop her but just gave up. So he joined her. CD was drunk enough that she gave in and sat with Nate at a small table in front of the stage. The strippers danced in front of them both. They kept thinking CD was there for the show too, so she had to tell them she was just there with Nate. After a few more shots she just started shoving money in their panties too so they would leave her alone. Nate meanwhile was getting really turned on by CD and the strippers.
Nate:"this is the best bachlor party ever...whoa! Take a look at her jugs!"
CD:"Aw come on! Mine are bigger than that, and they are real!"

A few more hours passed. Nate decided to slow his drinking down on account of CD being so intoxicated. The main show was over so they sat back at the bar. CD and the barkeep keep flirting, which of course pissed Nate off.
CD:"Do they give lap dances here?"
Barkeep:"yeah in the back rooms. Why, do you want one?" he winked at her
CD:"noooo. I wanna buy my friend here one."
Nate:"thats ok CD. I'll do without the lapdance."
CD:"Naaaaate! It's your birthday!"
Nate and the barkeep both laughed
Nate:"it's not my birthday. Its my bachlor party, remember?"
CD:"oh yeah! you are marrying whats-her-face.." she rolled her eyes
Nate:"you mean Molly..."
CD:"yeah. Molly..."

After playing pool, singing kareokee, and dancing, 5am finally rolled around and the bar was closing.
barkeep:"so CD, where are heading?"
CD:"home. Where are YOU heading." she grinned at him.
Barkeep:"to my place. You wanna come with me?"
Nate:"I don't think thats such a good idea."
Barkeep:"why? I thought you two were just friends."
Nate:"we are. Thats why Im not letting her go home with you. She is too drunk and she barley knows you."
Nate payed their bill. He couldn't believe how much money him and CD blew on booze and strippers. CD kept falling when she tried to walk, so he threw her over his shoulder.
CD:"wait Nate! Im gonna go to Jeff's!"
Nate:"No CD...Im taking you home"
CD:"oooh I'd rather go home with you anyway." she giggled and smacked his ass.
Nate was stumbling too, but he was in touch with reality. He called a cab and left both of their cars there.

Nate stumbled into CD's appartment with her flung over his shoulder. He took her to her room and put her down. CD attemped to pull her clothes off but she kept falling over.
CD:"you can sleep here if you want."
Nate:"thanks. I don't want to face Molly drunk." Nate helped CD out of her clothes.
Nate:"so...why DID you leave me?" he asked as he undressed too.
CD:"I was scared..."
Nate:"of what?"
CD:"I guess of getting hurt again..." she just pulled her bra off right in front of him.
Nate:"I would never hurt you.."
CD:"I finally figured that out. But then I was too scared to face you again." She walked over and sat on his lap and gently kissed his lips.
Nate:"CD.."
She got up off his lap.
CD:"sorry. Forgot about Molly"
Nate:"it's not her. I want to. It's just...you are really drunk, and I don't want you to think I took advantage of you once you sobor up.."
CD fell over on the bed.
CD:"Im not that drunk.."
Nate:"yes you are" he laughed
CD:"Naaaate" she whinned "take advantage of me!"
Nate:"no let's wait until we are both sobor..." with that she pulled him down on the bed with her. He gave in and kissed her passionatly. He pulled her panties off and after a few tries, she was able to get his boxers off. He climed on top of her and started to penetrate.
CD:"it's not in!" she giggled
Nate:"oh sorry..." he tried again but still didn't get it right. CD tried to push him off so she could be on top, but he fell on the floor and pulled her down with him.
CD:"I think you are drunker than me!"
Finally he figured out where to put it and they made sweet drunk love. They both passed out in the floor afterwards.

Nate woke up the next morning to the sound of CD throwing up in the bathroom.He sleepily walked in there to check on her.
Nate:"hey...you ok?"
CD just moaned and threw up again. Nate kneeled down beside her and held her hair out of her face.
CD:"why did you let me drink so much last night?" she threw up some more.
Nate:"I tried to stop you...but you weren't listening to me. So I just joined you."
CD:"..the last thing I remember is us sitting at that table in front of the stage.."
Nate:"well you drank quit a bit." he rubbed her back.
CD:"Im assuming we slept together.."
Nate:"yeah.." he sighed.
CD:"why did you do it?"
Nate:" because I wanted to.."
CD:"what about Molly?"
Nate:"I guess I have alot of explaining to do when I get home."
CD:"yeah you probably should go home.."
Nate:"are you gonna be ok?"
CD:"yeah once I puke up everything I drank last night..."
Nate:"ok..I'll see you later then?"
CD:"yeah whatever.." she started throwing up again.
Nate got dressed and left for his house. CD finished throwing up and then took a shower.

Nate walked into his and Molly's house. She was sitting on the couch, obviousy pissed.
Molly:"where in the hell have you been!?"
Nate:"Im sorry. I was out with some buddies last night. I crashed at Jim's house."
Molly:"thats a lie! I called Jim last night! He said he hadn't seen you all night!"
Nate:"well you can believe whatever you want" he walked to the bedroom.
Molly:"who were you with Nate!?"
Nate:"I told you!..some of my buddies."
Molly:"which buddies?"
Nate:"the usual one's. Now can I please go take a shower?"
Molly:"so thats it?...you are just going to take a shower and give me no explanation for last night?"
Nate:"I gave you an explanation. If you don't believe it, that is your problem. Im not going to sit here and argue with you about it."
Molly:"fine..take your damn shower. But don't you think you are going to be pulling **** like this when we are married."
Nate rolled his eyes and went to the bathroom to take his shower.

CD meanwhile layed on her couch trying to recover from her hangover. There was a knock at the door. She got up to answer it. It was Jeff.
CD:"hey..."
Jeff:"where were you last night!" he asked angry
CD:"I went out with a friend. Im sorry. I didn't get your message until I got home last night."
Jeff:"Are you seeing someone else?"
CD:"no way! why would you think that?"
Jeff:"you have been blowing me off lately."
CD:"Im sorry. I have just been really busy."
Jeff:"well could you atleast call me next time?"
CD:"yeah...Im sorry baby..." she smiled and pulled him inside with her.

Nate got out of the shower and walked into the bedroom. Molly was sitting on the bed.
Molly:"are you cheating on me?"
Nate:"why would I cheat on you?"
Molly held up a phone number she found in his wallet
Molly:"it says "CD". Why do you have her number?"
Nate:"I saw her the other day."
Molly:"is she who you were with?"
Nate:"yes..." Nate sighed.
Molly:"what happend?"
Nate:"we slept together..."
Molly:"how could you do that to me!? We are getting married and you cheat on me!.." tears rolled down her face.
Nate:"Molly I..." she cut him off..
Molly:"just leave..please..."
Nate sighed and got dressed. He got into his car and headed over to CD's

CD and Jeff meanwhile layed panting.
Jeff:"are you ok?"
CD:"yeah..why?"
Jeff:"you seem distracted..."
CD:"Im just tired. I got in late last night."
They heard a knock at the door.
Jeff:"I'll get it."
He put on his boxers and walked to the door. He opened it.
Nate:"uhh..who are you?"
Jeff:"Im Jeff. Who are you?"
Nate:"Jeff?"
Jeff:"yeah...what can I do for you?"
Nate:"oh nothing...this is the wrong appartment. Sorry."
Jeff:"its ok.."
Nate nodded and Jeff shut the door.
Jeff:"weirdo..." he muttered to himself.
Nate went back to his car. He sighed and layed his head on the steering wheel.He thought maybe last night meant CD still loved him. Obviously not. He started the engine and drove back to Molly. Jeff crawled back into bed with CD.
CD:"who was that?"
Jeff:"some guy who had the wrong appartment..."

Nate walked back into his house. Molly was watching tv.
Molly:"I thought I told you to leave?"
Nate:"I just came back to appologize. Im so sorry that happend."
Molly:"why did you do it Nate?"
Nate:"I don't know. I hadn't seen her in so long."
Molly:"but you are engaged to me."
Nate:"I know. I screwed up."
Molly:"do you promise it will never happen again?"
Nate:"yes...I swear.."
She smiled and kissed him. He took her hand and led her to their bedroom.

CD arrived to the school the next morning and sat down at her desk.
CD:"I STILL have a hangover..." she muttered to herself and began her morning work. A couple hours later CD was talking with a student when there was a knock on her door. She said "come in" and a brunette women walked inside.
CD:"I'll be with you in just a second." she told the strange women and motoined for her to sit down.
CD:"..now Im serious about you bringing your test scores up. If they don't improve, Im gonna have to put you in a remediation class."
Kid:"but Mrs. DeLorenzo..."
CD:"no buts, now get back to class."
The kid groaned and mumbled some stuff and left.
CD:"can I help you?" she asked the women sitting in her office.
Molly:"yeah. Im Molly. Nate's fiancee'"
CD:"oh hello..." she extendend her hand to shake Molly's, but Molly just gave her a look.
Molly:"Im just here to let you know that I know what happend between you and Nate."
CD:"Im sorry..." CD sighed
Molly:"yeah me too. I started to leave Nate, But then I thought "I can't let her win that easily...""
CD:"win? I'm not trying to "win" Nate. It just happend."
Molly:"yeah I know. You got him drunk and suduced him."
CD:"oh yeah. I forced him to invite me to a bar, drink, and come back home with me." she laughed.
Molly:"well just so you know, Nate is mine. He has ALWAYS been mine."
CD:"good for you." she rolled her eyes.
Molly:"...so I suggest that YOU stay away from him."
CD:"he is the one who called me. I was just being a friend."
Molly:"he has enough friends. He doesn't need you."
CD:"so what is the purpose of this conversation?, because I have students to meet with."
Molly:"I just want you to know that you can never have him. We are happily engaged and soon are going to be happily married."
CD:"if you are so happy, then why did he cheat on you?" she muttered.
Molly:"because he wasn't in his right mind."
CD:"yeah, ok." she laughed.
Molly:"do you think Im kidding? Nate doesn't want you. Why would he? I'm the one he is engaged to, and not to mention we were married once before. He also has told many things about you. Like how your tubes are tied."
CD:"what does that have to do with anything?"
Molly:"it's just another reason he would pick me over you. I can give him kids, you can't."
CD:"Molly, I'm not after Nate. Yes it was a mistake to go to that bar with him. We got drunk. It happend. And I'm really sorry. But you don't have to worry about me "stealing" him from you. I have a boyfriend and I am perfectly happy with him. I consider Nate just a friend." she lied.
Molly:"well good." she smiled "I hope to see you at the wedding then." she grinned and left CD's office. CD groaned "bitch" and layed her head in her hands.

Nate and Raina meanwhile were in the car driving.
Raina:"whats wrong Nate?"
Nate:"why do you always assume something is wrong when I don't talk?"
Raina:"because there always IS something wrong when you don't talk!"
Nate sighed.
Nate:"I cheated on Molly the night before last."
Raina:"what? With who?" she asked stunned.
Nate:"CD..."
Raina:"CD!" she exclaimed happily "I knew it!"

Raina:"that you two were still in looooove." she laughed
Nate:"Im in love with Molly." he lied
Raina:"yeah right, then why did you cheat on her?"
Nate:"I don't know. It just happend."

Nate:"but Molly is the one I love! We are getting married and starting a family. And we are going to live happily ever after." he tried to convince her and himself.
Raina:"..and you sound SO excited about that.." she rolled her eyes.

Raina:"yeah right. Why are men so damn stupid? Just be with the CD. She is the one you love."
Nate:"just shut up about it..." he snapped and continued to drive. After a few minutes of silence he finally spoke up "ok, say I did still love CD.."
Raina:"mmm hmm?..." she smiled..
Nate:"..it wouldn't matter..She is in love with that Jeff guy."
Raina:"how do you know that?"
Nate:"because when I went back to her place the morning after, and he was there."
Raina:"so..that doesn't mean she loves him."
Nate:"I know. But what would she want with a guy like me?"
Raina:"hell I don't know.." she joked.
Nate:"I might as well forget all about her." he sighed.

After work that day, Nate came home to find a nice big dinner cooked.
Nate:"whats the occasion?" he asked and kissed Molly.
Molly:"us..."
Nate:"us?"
Molly:"yep." she smiled. Nate smiled back and sat at the table.
Molly:"I went to visit CD today."
Nate:"What!? Why!?"
Molly:"just to make it clear that she needs to stay out of our lives." she smiled

Nate got up angrily from the table and went outside for some fresh air.

CD and Nate decided it would be best if they stayed away from each other. CD figured Nate just slept with her that night because he was drunk and Nate knew CD only did it because she was drunk also.

CD looked in the mirror at herself. She was wearing a short black dress and her hair was down. "I shouldn't go..." she thought to herself. "but Raina is my friend too..no matter what happend between Nate and I..." she sighed. She wasn't sure if she should go to Raina's party. She knew Molly would be there. And she didn't want to make a scene if Molly confronted her again. She looked at herself a few more minutes. "**** it..." she mumbled and grabbed her purse. She wasn't going to let a b*tch like Molly stop her from being with her friends. She got into her car and drove to the club where the party was.

Nate was making sure everything was in place. Jinny, Magda and their dates were setting out the food. Molly was greeting all the guests as they arrived.
Magda:"Hey look..." she pointed to Kate who had just walked in with a rather young and handsom man.

"whoa. He's cute!" Jinny said suprised

Magda laughed "way to go Captain!"

Kate and her date walked over to them.

Jinny grinned.."You look great Cap! who's your friend?"

"Thanks. This is Tom." Kate introduced him to Jinny and Magda.

Magda walked over to the entrance where Nate was now standing with Molly.

"Where is CD?" Magda asked

"Hopefully she isn't coming..." Molly rolled her eyes.

Magda gave her a look

"I haven't seen her. I'm sure she will be here." Nate told Magda and hugged Eve who had just entered.

"What time will Raina be here?" Eve asked Nate

"In about fifteen minutes. Johnny is bringing her." Nate smiled excitedly

"I hope she is suprised!" Eve laughed and walked over to where Wanda and a friend were standing.

CD pulled into the club parking lot. She checked her make-up and walked in.

"CD!" Magda exclaimed when she walked in "I wasn't sure if you were going to make it!"

"Sorry I'm late. I had a busy day." CD smiled and hugged Magda.

"I'm glad you made it" Nate smiled

"I bet you are.." Molly mumbled under her breath and walked off.

CD rolled her eyes

"I'm sorry about her going to the school and confronting you the other day." Nate apologized

"Oh It was no big deal." CD shrugged and walked over to Jinny and Kate.

Ten minutes later, Johnny called Nate and told him they were on their way. Jinny turned off the lights and everyone hid.

"I can't believe you are taking me to some club for my birthday.." Raina muttered and slammed the car door.

"Come on Raina. It will be so much fun. I promise." Johnny grinned

"yeah yeah." Raina said and opened the door "What the hell?" she said as they walked into the black room

"SUPRISE!!!!!" everyone jumped up and yelled

Raina almost fainted when she saw all her friends and family there. "oh my God!" she yelled and put her hand over her mouth.."who did this!" she asked as she walked around hugging everyone.

"Your partner!" Jinny laughed and hugged Raina

"I'm gonna kick your ass" Raina grinned at Nate and whiped away her tears of joy

"Happy 30th partner!" Nate grinned and hugged her

"I can't believe you did all this...and CD's here!" Raina ran over and hugged CD when she saw her.

"I wouldn't miss your 30th birthday for anything!" CD laughed and hugged Raina back.

A few hours went by. Everone mingled, ate, and danced. Nate saw CD was finally alone so he walked over to her.

"Hey.." he smiled

"Hey..the party turned out great." CD smiled back

"yeah...thanks for helping." Nate said and got another drink

"Your Welcome.." she said and smiled at Raina's Grandmother who walked by

"How are things with you?" Nate asked

"Ok..." she said and laughed at Raina who was now drunk on the dance floor with her cousin

"oh that's good. I uh..came by your place. The morning after we..uh you know.." he admitted

"You did?" CD asked confused

"yeah..Jeff answered...I figured you were busy, So I just left." Nate said embarassed

"Well I wasn't busy, but why did you come back?" CD led him behind the stage so people would stop staring

"I don't know. I guess I wanted to make sure everything was ok between us." He smiled

"I don't know Nate. It was dumb. We shouldn't have even went to that bar together." She sighed

"I know. But I had so much fun. I really miss you CD." he touched her hand

"I have missed you since the day I left, but so much has changed. You are engaged. I'm not going to be some homewrecker." CD actually believed that Nate was better off with Molly.

"You aren't a homewrecker..." he leaned in and gently kissed her lips. She knew she should pull away, but it felt so good. She returned the kiss and deepened it. He smiled and ran his hands all over her body. "Oh great.." CD thought to herself but did the same to him. Nate finally broke the kiss. He grabbed her hand and led her out a back door.

"What are you doing?" she asked following him

"I want to be alone with you.." he smiled and pulled her to his car.

"..this isn't a good idea Nate" she said but got in with him.

"You know you want to." Nate grinned and began to kiss her.

"Nate your going to be married soon..." she moaned but returned the kiss...

"I don't care.." Nate pulled her dress over her head.

"you should..." CD pulled off his coat and unbottoned his shirt.

"CD...just hush..." he smirked and climbed into the backseat. She knew she was making a big mistake but she loved him so much. She crawled back there too. They finished undressing each other and Nate crawled on top of her.

"Wait..." CD stopped him..

"What?" he paused

"What if someone comes out here." she asked

"Who cares!.." all he wanted to do was prove to her how he much he loved her still.

"let's just hurry..." CD smirked and pulled him down for another kiss.

A few moments later, Nate collapsed in CD's arms.

"that was great..." he smiled, still panting

"yeah. I'm glad I was sobor this time." she smiled back and stroked through his hair. "..but we better get back inside, before someone comes looking for us.."
Nate nodded and they both got dressed again. They ran back to the club and entered through the back door.

"So..I will call you tonight, ok?" Nate stopped her before she went back to the party.

"uh ok." she smiled and walked back to the party. Most everyone was drunk by now, so no one noticed CD and Nate had been gone. Nate walked over to Molly. She had been talking with Jinny and Raina.

"Hey honey!, where have you been?" Molly asked

"Just around.." Nate smiled and grabbed a drink.

The party finally ended at 2am. "I'll call you tomorrow." Nate wispered to CD before she left. She smiled and walked out to her car. After cleaning up the club, Nate and Molly returned home. Nate decided it would be best to tell her he wanted to be with CD the next morning. They both got into the bed and Molly cuddled close to him.

"I love you Nate.." she whispered to him.

he cringed alittle. "I love you too"

"..I don't know where I would be without you. I was so depressed before you came back into my life. I'm so glad we are back together." Molly told him. She had seen him and CD talking at the party, and she was going to make sure Nate stayed her's.

"Well, I'm glad you are back into my life too." Nate lied feeling like a complete jerk.

The next morning they both got up and did their usual morning rutine. Nate got dressed and went down to eat breakfast. He prepared himself to tell Molly he was leaving her.

"Goodmorning Baby." she smiled and kissed him.

"morning.." he told her and sat down at the table. She served him is breakfast and sat down next to him.

"you remember the our first time?" Molly asked smiling.

he wasn't sure where this was coming from, but answered "Yeah.Why?"

"I just keep thinking about that night. That was the best moment of my life. I love you so much Nate." she told him

He wasn't sure what to do now. He couldn't just tell her he was leaving her for another women. He decided he would wait unil after work. "I love you too Molly. I uh, better get to work." he got up, kissed her cheek, and left for the Division. He called CD on his way there. They decided to meet at her place for lunch. She wasn't sure herself what she was doing, having an affair with Nate. She knew he loved Molly, but she loved him. She talked to Jeff that morning and told him she cheated on him. They decided to break up. CD knew she wasn't going to be with Nate, but she didn't want to live a lie with Jeff.

Nate was quiet most of the morning. Raina finally couldn't take the silence anymore.

"What's wrong Nate?" she asked as she drove to a crime scene.

"nothing.." he replied and gazed out the window.

she sighed and gave him a look. "I have been your partner for two years, I know when something is wrong."

Nate sighed. "I want to be with CD, but I can't break up with Molly."

"Why not?" she asked

"Because, I feel like I owe it to her. I mean, I was such an awful husband the first time around. And she pretty much gave up her future for me. She could have went to college, but she chose to marry me instead. And then I ended up being a bad husband." Nate explained

"I see..but do you love her?" Raina asked

"I care about her, because of our past. But I don't think I love her. You know?" Nate told her "I know I am in love with CD. I have never felt that way about anyone, not even Molly."

Raina nodded.

"She bugs me now. I don't know why. I guess because I wish I was with CD." Nate ran his hands through his hair.

"I think you should just be truthful with Molly. Yes, you will hurt her. But everyone will be happier in the long run." she pulled up to the crime scene. "..and everyone knows you and CD belong together." Raina smiled at him and they both got out of the car.

Nate thought about what Raina had said the rest of the morning. He loved CD, there was no doubt about that, but he cared about Molly. After all, she was his first love. But that love wasn't there anymore. The only reason he was with her was because he felt like he owed her a second chance. He wanted to be with CD, he knew that. But he didn't want to hurt Molly again.

Finally lunch time rolled around. Nate went over to CD's place. She was already there. She decided she was going to break it off with Nate. He was engaged, and what she was doing wasn't right. Nate knocked at the door and she let him in. He immediatly starting kissing her, making her forget what she had decided a few minutes before. She led him to her to her room and they srtipped off each others clothes. Before she knew it, he was making love to her. She couldn't believe she had left him two years before. If she hadn't, she would be the one he was engaged to right now. They both climaxed and he collapsed on top of her. She held him tightly, hoping that moment would last forever. He rolled off of her and then snuggled closely to her side.

"Nate?" CD said softly

"Hmm?" Nate smiled

"do you really think this is right?" she asked

he looked at her confused. "What do you mean?"

"we shouldn't be sleeping together. You are engaged. And I am still with Jeff." She told him.

"I'm breaking it off with Molly, tonight." Nate said and smiled

"You are?" she asked

"Yeah. I love YOU." he brushed through her hair.

CD smiled a little. She still thought Nate would be better off with Molly, but she loved him too. "I love you too Nate."

They got out of bed and quickly ate a sandwich. CD went back to the school and Nate went back to the Division. He told Raina what happend. She smiled and said "I told you so.". He felt great the rest of the day. Everytime he would start to think of Molly being upset, he would think of CD. That evening, Nate called CD on the way home and told her he would probably be over after he broke the news to Molly. She told him ok, and told him she had broken up with Jeff earlier that day. Nate got home, and Molly had dinner waiting. She greeted him with a kiss.

"welcome home honey." Molly smiled and led him to the dinner table.

Nate smiled back and sat down. "Molly, we need to talk."

Molly walked over to the stove. "Oh I know. I talked to the florist today, and she doesn't know if she is going to be able to get the flowers I wanted. I guess I will have to settle for the other ones."

"Actually, there is something important I need to tell you. Something happend and I..." Nate was cut off by Molly.

"I can't believe we are getting married again Nate. It feels so right this time. We have both had time to grow up. And I realise you are the man for me. And I am the women for you, I have always been the women for you." She continued to ramble about how much Nate meant to her. She knew Nate was having second thoughts about the wedding. And she suspected it had something to do with CD. She wasn't about to let some chick who he used to work with steal him from her.

Nate bought into what she was saying. He was torn between Molly and CD. He felt like such a jerk, so he decided to wait some more before he told her. He saw how happy she was about the wedding, and he couldn't break her heart just yet. They ate dinner together, then Nate told her he had to go over to Raina's to discuss something important. He went over to CD's. He knocked on the door and CD opened it.

"Hey." CD smiled

he forced a smile back. "Hey."

She told him to come in. He followed her to the couch and sat down. "I have some bad news.." he told her.

"what?" she frowned.

"I did't break up with Molly.." he sighed

CD wasn't sure what to say. She really believed him earlier when he said he loved her and wanted to be with her. She held back her tears. "Oh..." was all she could get out.

"I'm going to though. I just have to find the right time, you know?" he said.

"Yeah, I understand." CD said. She understood that he loved Molly. She couldn't blame him. She hurt him so badly when she left that note, and she deserved what he was doing to her. She listened to him promise her again, and then they had sex. Nate went back home to Molly, and CD cried herself to sleep. Nate knew he had to break it off to Molly. Lying in bed next to her felt nothing like lying next to CD.

It was now two weeks before Nate and Molly's wedding and he still hadn't broke it off with her. He still saw CD whenever he got free time. She had gotten enough being the "other women" and decided to break it off with him. Nate obviously loved Molly, and CD knew he belonged with her. She called him and told him to meet her for dinner.

Nate meanwhile couldn't believe he had let this get out of control. All he had to do is tell Molly he wanted CD. How hard is that? Everytime he tried to tell her, she would start telling him how much she loved him. He also felt bad for ruining the wedding plans. Almost everything was already paid for and Molly was so excited. Nate looked at his watch, he had an hour before dinner with CD. He took a deep breath and walked into the living room where Molly was knitting.

"Hey Sweetie.." Molly smiled when he entered the room.

"Hey. I need to talk to you." he sat down beside her.

Molly knew what was coming. She now knew for sure that Nate was seeing CD. She had listened in on a few of their phone calls. She was so angry CD was trying to take Nate from her. She wasn't going to let this happen, so she came up with a plan that she knew would make Nate stay with her forever. "Good.." she smiled at Nate. "I need to talk to you too."

"ok." Nate said confused. "you go first."

Molly smiled real big. "Well, today I went to the doctor for a check-up."

"And?" Nate said and looked at his watch again.

"We are going to have a baby!" she exclaimed.

"What!?!?" Nate said angrily. "You can't be pregnant!"

"I am Nate! You don't want our baby?" Molly looked at him sadly.

"Molly how can you be pregnant? We were very careful. And we haven't even had sex in over a month!" He exclaimed.

"I can't believe you are denying this baby!" she started to sob. "I can't help it you got me pregnant."

Nate could not believe this was happening to him. All he wanted was CD, and now Molly was pregnant. He couldn't just leave her like this though. Tears started to stream down his face.

"Are you going to leave us Nate?" Molly asked.

Nate wiped the tears from his face. "No. I'm not going to leave my child."

CD sat waiting for Nate at a resturant where they were having dinner. She looked up and saw him walk into the door. He saw her too and went over to the table and sat down.

"Hey" He forced a smile.

"Hey" She said back nervously.

Before they could even begin talking, the waiter came over and took their orders. They both ordered and sat drinking their drinks.

"So uh, I need to talk to you." CD spoke up.

"Yeah I need to talk to you too." Nate said sadly.

"Ok then, you go first." CD took a sip of her water.

Nate took a deep breath. "Ok, well, I went to Molly today, to tell
her that I was going to leave her to be with you."

CD nodded and listened

"...we got to talking and she had some, well, bad news." he said quietly.

"bad news?" CD asked confused.

Nate sighed. "Yeah, she's pregnant."

"Oh." was all CD could get out. She was going to tell Nate it was over, but deep down she figured he would run straight to Molly and finally tell her it was over, and then they could be together.

"CD you are the one I want to be with, but I can't just leave Molly and my Baby." he put his hand on hers.

She pulled back from him. "Nate you don't have to explain. I completely understand. Actually, I was just going to tell you I don't think we should see each other anymore". She acted like it was no big deal.

"You don't think we should see each other anymore?" Nate looked at her with shock and disappointment.

"No Nate. Molly is going to be your wife in two weeks. And she is pregnant. I am not going to keep having an affair with you. I know how it feels, and I am not going to put Molly through that." CD explained.

"But CD, I love you." he tried to reach for her hand again.

She pulled away even more. "Please don't say that. You love your fiance', and the Mother of your child. You can't love me."

Nate just sighed. "So this is it?"

"I guess so." CD said like it didn't even bother her. "I really don't think we were ever meant to be together." She got up to leave. Nate tried to stop her but she just said goodbye. He sighed and walked over to the bar in the resturant.


The next day Nate walked into the Division an hour late and with a hangover.

"Ooh You look awful!" Raina looked up at him from her desk.

He glared at her. "Shut up."

"And I see you aren't in a good mood either." She rolled her eyes.

Nate sat down. "Molly is pregnant, and CD never wants to see me again."

"What!?" Raina looked at him shocked. "Molly is pregnant?"

"Apparently so." Nate muttered and looked through a file.

"she would do something that evil..." Raina muttered under her breath. "And CD never wants to see you again because of the baby?"

"No, she said she was going to break it off with me anyway." he sighed.

"Can you blame her? You thought you could be with CD AND stay with Molly."She shook her head.

"I was going to break up with Molly, but she sprung this news on me!" Nate said defensively.

"So are you still going to stay with Molly?" Raina asked.

"I guess so. I mean, I have this kid now and we are engaged."he told her.

"So you are going to live a lie?" she asked him.

"Yes Raina I guess I am!" he said angry and went to the men's room.

CD got to work late also. She got her mail and went to her office. She sat down at her desk and went through it. She came to a pretty white envelope. She opened it up. It was a personal invitation from Molly to her and Nate's wedding. CD sighed and threw it in the trash.


Two weeks had passed and it was the night before Nate and Molly's wedding. It was the night of their rehursal dinner and everyone was scurrying around to get things ready. Nate sat in the corner alone wishing none of this was happening. He said hello to everyone who walked by and listened to them congratulate him and Molly. A dark-haired pregnant women approached him holding a gift.

"Hey Nate..." Lily smiled when she saw him sitting in the corner.

"Hey Lily." Nate smiled back. "It's been a while."

"Yes it has. I came down to see my family this weekend. Mag said you were getting married." she told him.

"Yeah." Nate said sadly. "I heard you got married."

"Yes I did." Lily showed Nate her ring. "I'm going to be a mommy too. Obviously." she laughed and pointed to her belly.

"I have a baby on the way too." Nate told her.

"Oh Nate that is great! I'm so happy for you!" Lily said excitedly. "How far along?"

"I don't even know. She just found out a couple weeks ago." Nate told her a grabbed a beer from the beverages.

"Where is CD anyway? I wanna give her this gift." Lily said looking around.

"CD?" Nate looked at her confused.

"Yeah CD!" Lily laughed.

"I'm not marrying CD. Didn't Magda tell you? We broke up two years ago." Nate told her sadly.

"I haven't spoken to Magda too mcuh since I moved to New York. She never mentioned it. I'm sorry." Lily sat down beside him.

"Thanks." he sighed.

"Well atleast things are ok now. You are getting married tomorrow!" Lily said happily.

"Yeah, woo hoo." Nate said sarcasticly.

"You don't seem to excited." Lily frowned. "Who are you marrying?"

"My ex-wife, Molly. Did I tell you about her?" Nate asked.

Lily nodded. "Yeah. Are you not happy or something?"

Nate shrugged and took another sip of his beer.

"So why are you marrying her?" Lily asked

Nate shook his head. "I have no idea anymore. I mean, yeah she is pregnant, but it still doesn't feel right."

"Well...you shouldn't get married if you don't love her. Even if she is pregnant. Your kid will be better off coming into this world with two seperated happy parents than with unhappy married parents." She told him.

Nate nodded, knowing she was right.

Nate spent the night thinking about what Lily said. She was right. He shouldn't marry someone he didn't love, and he knew he would be a better dad if he and Molly weren't together. He just hated that he let things get this bad. It was the day of his wedding, and he had to break it of with the bride-to-be. He felt like such a jerk for having to put Molly through this humiliation and pain, but it had to be done. Nate just hoped CD would still want to be with him.

Molly had stayed at her parents the night before the wedding, so Nate was home alone. He heard a knock at the door, so he went to answer it. It was his best friend from high school, Justin, who was also his best man in the wedding.

"Ready for the big day?" Justin grinned at Nate and walked inside.

"No." Nate sighed.

"what's wrong?" Justin frowned and sat down.

"I can't do it man...I don't love her." Nate said.

"what?" Justin said shocked. He didn't know anything about CD. He was Nate's best man when he married Molly the first time, so that was why Nate asked him to be his best man again. "Are you serious?" he asked.

"Yes." Nate nodded. "I am in love with another women. Her name is CD. She was my partner for two years. Then we became more than partners. She left, that's why I asked Molly to marry me. I guess to make the pain from losing CD to go away."

"So you don't want to marry Molly now?" Justin asked. "She is so good to you Nate! And that CD women left you, how could you still be in love with her?"

"I just love her. If you knew her you'd know." Nate said.

"What about Molly?" Justin asked.

"I guess I am going to have to break her heart." Nate sighed. "I care about Molly, alot, but I can't be married to her when I am in love with CD."

"But CD obviously doesn't want you!" Justin said. "So you might as well marry Molly anyway."

Nate shook his head. "Even if CD doesn't want me back, I still can't be married to a women I don't love. It's not fair to either one of us."

"And your baby?" Justin sighed.

"I'm still gonna be there for my child." Nate said and looked at his watch. "I need to go on and tell Molly, before she starts getting ready and stuff."

"ok..." Justin nodded. "Good luck."

"Thank's" Nate nodded and left to Molly's parent's house.

Jeff could tell CD and been stressed lately, so they flew to Vagas for a little
vacation. Being with Jeff was great, but CD still thought about Nate getting married. The morning of the wedding she woke up early and went down to a cafe' in the hotel to get some coffee. She knew after today there was no chance of her and Nate ever being together.

Jeff woke up and noticed CD was gone. He got dressed and went down to find her. He smiled when he saw her sitting alone in the cafe'. He really loved her, and he knew she was a women he could spend the rest of his life with.

"Hey you..." He smiled and walked up to her.

CD smiled back. "Hey...you looked peaceful, so I didn't want to wake you."

"Thanks..." Jeff said and ordered himself some coffee. "You ok?...You seem distracted about something."

"Yeah I'm fine." CD said. "I'm just thinking about some things...stupid things."

"Well we are in Vagas...." Jeff said. "just think about getting drunk and going broke."

"ok..." CD laughed and Jeff's coffee arrived.

Jeff took a sip and looked over at CD. "CD...I have been thinking..alot...about me and you. We have been dating for quite some time, and I love you very much...I just...well...Do you want to get married?...we are already in Vegas...neither of us speak to much of our family, so it's not like anyone will be missing a big event or anything. I think we are ready for this..."

CD was suprised at first, but she started thinking about it herself. Nate was getting married today, so she had to get him out of her head. She had also been with Jeff for many months, and she knew he was an awsome guy. After divorcing Paul, she said she'd never marry again, but what the hell? They were in Vegas, and she just felt like doing something crazy. And who knows, Jeff might end up being the perfect husband she always wanted.

"ok..." CD grinned. "let's get married...."

Nate's heart was pounding when he pulled up into the drive. He knew this was gonna be bad. Molly's parents had spent alot of money on this wedding. Her Father was a scary guy too. He decided it would probably be best if he and Molly went somewhere else to talk. He knocked on the door, and Molly's Mother opened it.

"Nate!" She exclaimed. "you can't be here!"

"I know." Nate said. "but I have to talk to Molly."

"you can't see the bride before the wedding...it's tradition!" Molly's Mother said but led Nate inside.

"It's very very important." Nate said. "I have to see her."

"I won't have it." She said but Molly came walking down the stairs.

"Nate!!!" Molly said upset. "Now we are going to have bad luck."

"We have to talk." Nate said. "can we go for coffee."

"No way! We can do it here." Molly said. "I have way to much to do, and so do you!"

"Fine...." Nate sighed. "Let's atleast go talk somewhere alone."

Nate and Molly went out to the patio to talk. Molly had a feeling what was coming, but there was no way in hell she'd let Nate stop this wedding.

"I think I felt the baby move today.....He knows Mommy and Daddy are getting married today." She took his hand and put it on her belly.

"....you can't even tell you are pregnant yet, and you don't know the sex." Nate pulled his hand away.

"well what do you want to talk about?" Molly asked.

"Us..." he said.

"We are gonna be husband and wife in a few hours..." She grinned.

"That's the thing." Nate sighed. "I can't marry you..."

"WHAT!?...WHY?" Molly yelled, even though she knew why.

"I love CD..." he said.

"You love me!...and our baby!" she said. "she left you, remember!?"

"Yes I remember, but I still love her!" Nate said. "I can't marry you Molly...I don't love you."

"You don't love me!?..." she said shocked. "you sure told me you loved me! You asked me to marry you!"

"I am sorry....I thought marrying you would make me forget about CD." He said.

"And you break up with me on our WEDDING DAY!?" She yelled.

"I'm sorry!" he said. "But I just cannot marry you. I still love my baby, and I want to be in it's life, but I don't want to be your husband."

"So even with the baby you won't stay with me?" Molly was furious.

"No..." Nate shook his head. "I'm sorry."

Molly knew she couldn't pretend to be pregnant now. Before she figured she would end up pregnant, but now that wouldn't happen. She also knew how much Nate was loving the fact that he was going to be a Father, so telling him would hurt him just like he wanted.

"Well guess what Nate?" She laughed. "I'm not even pregnant! I never was!"

Nate just sat there, in complete shock. This was the last thing on earth he expected, but everything made sense now. He had asked Molly if she went to the doctor about the baby, but Molly said she didn't have to. After two months, Molly still didn't have any symptoms of being pregnant, and she STILL had not been to the doctor.

"Yep..." Molly smirked. "And I am GLAD I am not having a baby with a jerk like YOU!"

Nate had never been so mad in his life. He just snapped, hitting Molly right in the face.
